Oppressing your citizens who protest you is an ultimate sin for world leaders.

If they are breaking a law, then charge them with whatever you have on the current books instead of making up punishments to strike terror in the hearts of your citizens. Now people have to question what else they can have their livelihood demolished for. What else will Justin's ego not deem worthy of his vision for the Democratic People's Republic of Canada.

It seems like many here haven't had the experience of having their cities shut down for an extended period of time due to traffic blockades from protests. Haven't had parts of their cities occupied by protesters for a long period of time. Having dealt with that in Minneapolis I very much understand what the people of Ottawa and Windsor are going through.

Also were a lot of these people especially the politicians hand wringing about Trudeau and Canada become a new dictatorship express the same concern when similar tactics were used in the US against BLM, Occupy and other protest groups?

 

So let me get this straight, Trump is a hero for clearing protestors out of the way using force so he can do a photo op, but if the PM of Canada clears protestors to allow trade to resume and end an economic blockade he's a dictator?

There's no evidence that this actually happened. A Conservative MP tweeted this originally but to date neither the MP nor this supposedly real single mother has actually provided any evidence for this story. And when journalists have tried to find other similar examples of "frozen" accounts of people who gave small donations, they haven't been successful.
