It really depends on how you view time travel and the multiverse....

The Rockets and Cavs got lucky with the draft odds in this universe, would they both do the same again? Is time a circle!?!?!?

However, the real question is......... would Tilman have paid Allen in RFA? Otherwise, this is a moot point.

It always comes back to that with you.

That's the pot calling the kettle black when you are trying to argue for your own alternate reality......

So you weren't arguing we could have had both Allen and Mobley?

.... something that didn't happen in this reality? That wasn't you?

Tilman ain’t paying Jarrett Allen, let’s just keep that 100

Cavs 5th defensively, Rockets dead last by over 2 points/100 possessions which is significant…Rockets still bottom 5 defensively with Allen

then not to mention Darius Garland is SIGNIFICANTLY better than the likes of KPJr at PG

the All-Star, defensive anchor with Mobley Jarrett Allen, and the JA in Houston would not be the same

oh, and the Rockets are still taking Jalen Green even if they still had Allen in case anyone is thinking there’d be some Mobley-Allen frontcourt in Houston instead

Mobley’s dad did not want his son around KPJr, but, Jalen Green was such the overwhelming favorite to be taken 2nd by Houston that Mobley already knew what it was…the only way we weren’t taking Green is if Detroit took him so we took Cade instead, but Detroit was never gonna take anyone else at #1

Lol what? This isn't a causality issue, it's a misunderstanding of how probability works.

Maybe a cavs lottery ball quantum tunneled through another one and that's why they won the draft, making the lottery odds non-deterministic. That would be some string theory causal **** lmao.

It's exactly an understanding of how probability works. We redo the draft order or even redo the draft, it's likely the Rockets and Cavs won't be picking at #2 and #3 respectively.

There is something called probability theory which is science based.

And your multiversal theories which are comic book based.

It's not surprising that you confuse the two or worse consider both to be equally valid.

15M for Theis-Nwaba vs 20M for JA is a wash.

Even Tilly would not be that stupid to diddle himself into a frenzy over 5M, especially considering JA is an All Star vs 2 guys who sat on bench.

Right, then you should know if we redo the draft it may change where the Rockets and Cavs pick. Even with the worst record, the Rockets only had a 52.1% chance at a top 4 and thus keeping their pick.

Or do you think no matter what, we would have been able to keep our pick?

JA is a whole lot of hustle and defense. we know the fan base loves players like that. JA when given the opportunity has produced big numbers when given the minutes.

If this is true, the rockets are worse off than I thought and will spend decades upon decades sucking lol

they got rid of Theis and his salary quick for guys who won’t be here next season

Nwaba is only guaranteed for 1 more year although I don’t know wtf Stone was thinking with that

JA received a 5 year deal

JA would not be an All-Star in Houston, he’d be nowhere close…it would be JA the starting C for the trash Houston Rockets who can’t defend a lick

Tilman would not pay for a contender who took GS to 7. He definitely would be that stupid, he’s already shown it.

JA is an all star this year..... he wasn't last year when Tilly was making this decision.....

So in your alternate reality, Tilly would have given $100 million money to Allen in the offseason after trading Harden?

I just remember Capela getting endless hate on here, and he was a double double machine who had improved greatly over the years

I have little faith in Tilman and Stone…a fall this far from grace in such a short amount of time is insane

it's actually pretty sad how a good amount of folks try to prop up the worse guys on the team continuously but through the years dog on the best ones. now look at the rockets and where they are

The team is clearly tanking. If not then Wall would be playing and they wouldn't be giving the youth so much time to develop.

not really. even with wall playing a year ago, they were still the worst team in the league. that means nothing.

Wall isn't playing because he knows it's a waste of his time and not worth getting hurt as a possibility for a shitty team. And hes 100% right about all that
