    That is the question

    Yep!
Modeling is all about whether men want to bang them or not
    and
if women want to look like them . . .so men will want to bang them

Inclusion, diversity and representation are good things.

Good for this young lady doing what she wants and not caring what a bunch of people on the internet think. No one cares what the creeps who will sit back and discuss if she's bangable enough for them to whack to in their victoria secret catalog/ads think. SMH.

Does VS think this will make their products more popular? That is the bottom line isn't it? Will VS still be here in five years?

I agree with the sentiment but VS entire marketting plan is going after creeps thinking the models are bangeable enough for them to whack off to and then buy or force their signifant others to buy the product to obtain that bangableness.

I have no issue with her or the company but let's be real what VS is marketing, sex sex sex.

Drastically lower hourly rates than conventional editorial models charging a premium for catalog work, also an acknowledgement that those type of women aren't buying from that type of gear from that type of company - or conversely the same logic that allows 7 foot tall black men to sell sneakers to 5'8" people of every other race.

Was there some drag show with Down's Syndrome performers too? I defer to the caregivers, conselors and caseworkers, but that's a heapin heck of a whole lot to process.

    Bingo!
Let's not act like it is something that it is not. . .
Modeling is a brutal business from all accounts
It is not for the faint of heart.
Near perfect (physically) are dragged to lose 5 more pounds, to sculpt their faces and bodies
Bringing in a Down Syndrome model into that environment is . . cool I guess
As you can probably tell I am not the biggest modeling enthusiast.
But bringing in diversity . . . .is cool . . . .but like someone telling me about the lack of diversity in p*rn . . ..
    I'm all for more diversity but . . .
Not really a fight I am willing to take on right now . . .. much bigger fish to fry.

it all depends on the situation.

you want diversity in race at hooters but you don't want diversity in weight and attractiveness and age
@Jontro doesn't want fat ugly 70 year old waitresses

like i said, if 100 people jump off a cliff, zero of them would be 99ers

This seems like they are doing it for the shock value and woke points
Black Victoria secret model check , Latin check , Asian check, celebrity check , slightly heavy check

what box haven’t they included ?
    Let’s go for Down syndrome

Again good for her getting that money
But is that going to get Victoria secret back into profits ?

I used to hang out with a girl who's brother had down's syndrome. He loved to wrestle, 'pro' wrestling style. I had 50lbs on this guy and he would beat the ever-loving **** out of me. I would have to leave the house to make him stop because he would be so spun up.

I guess that could be a pro in the sack, but there are no safe words.

What is this girl's mental age? I don't know any specifics about down syndrome.

She seems pretty normal to hear her speak (granted she speaks Spanish). If not for her face, you wouldn't know.

Actually most of the people who are VS customers are women - which was the problem with using hot models to sell their product. It's been a dying brand for years. It's not surprising they are trying to reinvent themselves and this isn't their first attempt. Will it work? Seems like they have stopped the bleeding, but there's a lot of new players out there.

Anyone who isn't afraid of being too "woke".... I encourage you to join me in making a donation to Ruby's Rainbow. https://rubysrainbow.org/

A non-profit started by a friend when her daughter was born with Down Syndrome. They provide college scholarships to kids with down syndrome to go to college and get the life skills needed to live their best lives.

I, and many others, know these kids are special in their own individual ways, and deserve to be treated with respect and given opportunities like everyone else.

Too bad kindness and empathy are too "woke" for so many americans now days.

    Lol
Don’t think that this incident means people are anti Down syndrome people getting jobs
This participle case seems to be pushing the boundaries of exploitation . Don’t think this for a feel good moment, they want to get money
The wokeness is fake from the corporations
    They don’t really care

you think people on the d&d would donate ?
Hell they won’t even donate to Clutchfans
