I think mostly his fans did hype him up even more. It is hindsight and they look worse than advertised. He can still turn it into a career though. My gripe was that the Rox needed a transcendent star and a working system rather than a stat stuffer as that one host suggested.
I knew after his performance there'd be a few members salivating at the opportunity to disparage him on this board. It's a DUNK contest. Who gives a ****.
Right. I respect Jalen's improvements he has shown throughout this year so far. Defense, shooting, pace and awareness. It's showing he just still has a ways to go.
It's funny, because IF Jalen put in a good performance, the JOF would be saying how the dunk contest show's who he is, he's built for the big stage, he's got his confidence back, look out NBA. Alas. In typical Jalen fashion, he let his fans down again.
Agree! He needs to let his game do the talking. He claimed he’d make the all defensive team too. How about talk about all this stuff once you’ve accomplished it and work hard silently until you get there. Walk the talk instead of talk the walk. Good thing is he has skills and can still be a star down the road. I was too early calling him a “bust”…just feels like right now his game is all flash with not doing the other blue collar things (like defense, rebounding, and limiting turnovers) that help a team win. Mad Max is working with him in the offseason and that hopefully will fix a lot of the issues along with hopefully being a bit more humble as he matures.
Yup, imagine actually supporting a player for the Rockets. Seems this is a concept you don’t understand.
???? The Lakers went to the Finals 3 Straight years with no Shaq in sight. Bryant got 2 rings , back to back as their best player. You can hate the man all you want or not think he’s top 10 ( I wouldn’t put him ahead of Dream) but those are just facts. He won chips as LA’s alpha dawg.
Jalen needed a better plan when things did not work. But hey it was all in fun. That young man is an athletic freak. It was nice to see HTown represented in the festivities.
Green haters about the dunk contest: “Green let us down again!” Green haters about his 20 point RS game: “It’s a meaningless All Star event!”
Interesting. I watched this entire interview during pre-draft research on the top picks and came away disappointed. I had no idea people were impressed by this.
Hopefully, Green is the type of player that's motivated to work harder in the offseason because of his rookie struggles.
