The stars that were most upset last night (Kenny) were the ones that had money on Green (the slam dunk headliner).

Green is now 0-2 now when running his mouth (“I’m gong for that ROY”); (I’m going for that slam dunk chip”).

…..maybe just shut up, you were running your mouth from day 1 saying you should have went #1. Talking isn’t your thing, clearly.

Keep quiet, Get in the lab, get stronger, and make us rockets fans proud - because you sure embarrassed us last night.

    …we’ll forgive you though

Ja isn’t winning either and both he and especially Jalen don’t belong in the same sentence as Kobe. There were plenty of regular season winners who become playoff duds. My guess is you haven’t been watching the NBA for very long. It’s only the true greats who make it far into the playoffs with their mentality and how serious they take basketball. Jalen of course will make it into the playoffs someday, but he won’t be leading (or co-lead) his team to a ring like Kobe did. That’s because he doesn’t have it between the ears.

People will start realizing how much of a fraud this dude is. Now he’s marketing his own NFT. This guy is all about his branding. He wants to be famous. It won’t surprise me if he becomes an LA Faker one day.

What about the part where he's not actually good at basketball either?

Kobe Bryant was a misogynist rapist that was laughed at by his older teammates his first few years in the NBA. He also played on the Lakers with one of the 10 best players ever (Shaq) and a first ballot Hall of Famer in Pau Gasol.

Had Kobe played for Denver or Sacramento people would call him a controlling ball hog.

    Facts.

It seems too recent for people to already forget that Kobe was arguably never the best player on a championship team.....he was just on a lot of them due to the Lakers being the most stacked team in the league for most of his time in the league (not to mention league shenanigans with their refs that we know for a fact was a thing at least at the time).

Kobe was never going to carry a team, we saw what happened when he ran Shaq out of town and he tried.

Until people like Westbrook came along, Kobe was the most overrated player ever.

I'm not saying he's bad, but those who try to put him in the top 10 all time? GTFOH.

The irony is that Jalen Green could've easily won this if he had stuck to simple dunks that he nailed on the first time. He should've consulted with someone on his dunking repertoire and at what point in the contest to use them.

That was awful to watch. Can't wait for the usual suspects to excuse this performance. At least Mobley would not have embarrassed himself. Oh wait...he actually shined in his event...

What nonsense is this. First of all you guys would have torched a high schooler demanding he play for LA and staring he’d sit out a season for being drafted by a small market team. Name a team that Kobe had where it wasn’t stacked. The dude played with one of the most dominant players of all time in Shaq and rode the horse to 3 chips. Then for chip four with Malone and Payton Kobe decides to torpedo the season by raping/likely cheating. When he wanted to be the man he could barely get his team in to the championship or flame out in the first round. When he figured he couldn’t win he demanded a trade out which would’ve gotten him roasted again in this era. Somehow Memphis gave them the most lopsided trade of all time lol. Then for his last two chips he had again a dominant skilled big in Pao who was arguably there best player. That three headed big rotation of Bynum pao and Odom was full of mismatch nightmares. This isn’t even accounting for Bryant’s atrocious efficiency. Time and time he got bailed out by his more efficient cast. He’ll if it wasn’t for artest catching and finishing Kobe’s air ball they wouldn’t have gotten past the suns.

Kobe has always been vastly overrated and should never be above true greats like Hakeem and Duncan.

I literally included “co-lead” in my post, something Jalen will never sniff.
Also, Kobe was laughed at because of his determination in basketball, not the kind of shi- Jalen is into now.

“You’re going to make or miss a dunk,” Green said. “I missed too much to win. It was still fun. I’m glad I got to go out there. I enjoyed that.

“There was nothing wrong with Josh, nothing on him at all. You miss or make those, especially when you try to do a dunk like that. It’s pretty challenging.”

“I just missed,” Green said. “It’s just that simple. “I just missed. I had the height. I had the power. I got up there. It just didn’t go in.”

Still, Green considered the weekend, from the Rising Star games to the dunk contest and said he “enjoyed every minute of it.”

He enjoyed it so much he said he would like another shot at the dunk contest.

“I for sure need a run-back,” Green said. “I messed up. I need to run that back next year. We’ll figure it out.

“Next year. I’ll be here next year.”

I think NBA had people intentionally flogging top shot NFTs, Grant Hill did a horrible promo for them during the Stars challenge.

NFTs are really bad for your credit/karma/money.
