I was thinking something similar - but rather than time just let everyone have 3 dunks in the first round and 3 more in the final round and total it all up like figure skating. Award points for difficulty, grace, and etc, but eliminate "creativity" which doesn't make sense. people love watching figure skating but it's not like you haven't seen them do anything all that different than skaters before them.
From ESPN.com: Houston Rockets rookie Jalen Green was also out after the first round... when he and teammate Kevin Porter Jr. struggled timing an alley-oop pass off the side of the backboard.
Green is a cold hard bust. He will never be more than what you’re getting now which is 29-30 games as a minus. He may be the worst defensive player in NBA history…next game just watch him try to guard somebody
I was optimistic before, and even after the first time he posted this, I still had hope. But if someone as esteemed and nuanced as Imamimal tells me a rookie is stupid and cannot improve - and takes the time to do it repeatedly across threads - that really does settle it. Sad as it might be, it’s time to turn out the lights and go home, Rockets fans.
Good catch. unintentionally disrespectful. Not a rookie writer either. Sometimes I wonder if they still use an editor. Dave McMenamin article
