What cars would you have in your collection if you had the money? Reasonably priced. Supra Twin Turbo 96 300 ZX Twin Turbo 96 BMW 850 95 BMW 650 csi 89 Porsche 928 93 Mitsubishi 300 gt vrx Mustang SVO Lexus LC 500
1971 Plymouth Barracuda (426 'Cuda style, in all black) Replica Mach 5 1950 Studebaker Pickup Truck 1936 Rolls Royce Phantom II Misc. Mad Max style car
lol. That ZL-1 had no chance against a Mustang built for street/track racing. I mean the thing even had chutes. I guess the ZL-1 guy just did it for fun because 800hp ain't gonna cut it.
Supra Twin Turbo 96 300 ZX Twin Turbo 96 BMW 850 95 Mitsubishi 3000 GT would be a maybe, they are a super rare find in decent condition. The other 3 you can find in decent condition but are extremely over priced. Not everyones choice, but I grew up in 80's and 90's, so these are the same cars I loved as a kid
I was moving some 16 foot boards to repair my dock the other day. They were sticking through my rear window in my truckā¦. Took a sharp turn and they blew out the window. Also ends up I bought the wrong sized boards.
That thing is running racing slicks; he probably just knows how to drive it and had burnouts beforehand and didn't overpower it with too much hp. I mean, to put it in perspective, the ZL-1 apparently ran the 1/4 in 10.8. That Mustang probably ran it in the low 9's easily. lol. The Mustang has to be pushing 1200+ horsepower. When he called it a "turbo Mustang" in the comments, that's an understatement. I doubt it's a stock mustang with a turbo thrown on. It's probably something like off of Street Outlaws ... a "Mustang" with turbos... and racing engine and transmission. I wonder if it was a handicapped match where the Mustang had to turn off any of his goodies. If so, that's an even worse curb-stomp.
It's a fox body. It weighs over 1000 pounds less and getting that chassis to hook has been figured out for decades.
I thought he might be using something like this... https://moretraction.com/how-does-it-work-drag-racing/ ... because he hooks up like a Tesla -- anyway the car's youtube is below and it is a full on trailer'd race car. https://m.youtube.com/channel/UC4JVVRVwj5tqfwsXuJJFPEw
Yeah, but it can't be that easy because I see way too many cars at drag strips break their tires because they're not tuned for any particular track or they just did the "me put more horsepower in, me win more races" type of racing. All they end up doing is blowing the tires up off the line and lose the race before they get started. Yeah, that's what I figured - it's a street/track drag car. Check this video out - he talks about how he built it (I think it's the same car). You have to respect a guy that puts his own ingenuity and build time into a car like that :
The stealerships are out there trying to screw y'all over people... don't buy a car unless you absolutely need to. lol. Hyundai, Genesis, Subaru warn their dealers about markups (And Infiniti tells its dealers to stop breaching lease contracts)
A diesel version with unlimited amounts of customization is looking real good. May have to shoot down to Mexico.
Be careful out there. Know what you're signing. Stealerships still suck, but in different and more "hi-tech" ways :
