@Gioan Baotixita is in a bind. He needs a new persona so badly. But, he also needs to fulfill his desire to rant in that special way about sheep, little pinks, chicken legs, sheit. Those needs are at odds with each other. Will he be able to come up with a new vocabulary that emotes the same things? That he finds as satisfying? Also, he sort of needs to continue posting as @Gioan Baotixita so he isn’t perceived as having run away. Will he remember to toggle among three different accounts? Or will he end up like Kevin Durant on social media?

This will be interesting to monitor in the coming days.

edit: @Gioan Baotixita has been missing since around 6:30pm on Thursday. I seem to recall there is 48 hour rule of thumb before a missing persons report can be filed. Does anyone have a photo to stick on a CF milk carton?

@bobrek met him at the boxing gym I believe. Confirmed he wasn’t general.

Goodness gracious no. Why would i even consider wasting my time to

    A. meet up with him regardless
    B. try and prove something that is unprovable considering I have no idea who the general is?

He's already created a stable of alts that he can select from when the need arises. He has no fewer than 8,currently.

I'm just waiting on the alt accounts to challenge each other to boxing matches. They will then both confirm the alt accounts are real.

I don't know whether Gion is GeneralThade and have no interest in investigating that. If he is the same person that's on him that he finds it worth his time to pretend to be another poster.

Following a discussion that we are having in another thread about immigrants in my few interactions with him I will say this. If he is really a Vietnamese poster who came here as a young child I am bothered by his attitude towards other Asians including refugees that he claims to be. Those attitudes aren't an aberration as I've heard the similar things expressed by other immigrants. That they feel they owe it to this country for taking them in they embrace the most reactionary and narrow view of patriotism. That they look down upon and insult other immigrants who speak up about issues like racism and unfair treatment of immigrants. And also look down upon people from their home country as being ignorant and or mindless sheep.

I love this country, believe it has given me and my family a lot. I'm an American first no matter what my ethnic identity is. Being an America though isn't unquestionably embracing nationalism. What makes this country great is that we are actually able to question the leadership, policies and history of this country. It isn't about pasting over the uncomfortable parts of history but knowing that while this country has failed in many times there has been people willing to fight to make it better.

That includes Asian Americans such Wong Ark Kim who fought for the right for people like myself and Gion to become citizens of this country.

Was this his first account or is he a new iteration of another poster? I stop reading his post because it was just to easy for me to get super personal with funny insults. He left himself wide open all the time.

Did he lose a bet or something? What’s the background of this thread?

The poster @generalthade_03 lost a number of bets concerning the election. He never paid off and hasn't been seen on this site since shortly after the election.

There are those who think Gioan is the general. They have the same birthday as well as similar "phrases" they use that aren't commonly used by active else

use of the word "fukkk" by both posters is a dead give-away. also "pinkos" and "chi-com bastards".

and then the fact that they both pretend that theyre into boxing.

has the welcher been posting the last week or so?

I wish his generalthade persona would come back and finally show me all of the proof that he allegedly had where I apparently passed myself off as black. I really wanted to see that proof.

That's another commonality. They post things then don't back it up.

Thanks. That I knew actually — was just wondering if there was some update to this saga that caused this thread to be created.
