Sengun and Green don’t fit together this year. Whether that is because of their limitations or the limitations of their coach is up for debate in my opinion. My uninformed guess is that Segun and Green will both improve their shooting in the off-season (Green already has over the last 8 games or so). Sengun bbiq will make up for some of his foot speed issues on defense. He will also benefit from another big that can actually protect the rim, set picks, and has a more well rounded offensive game than Wood. He may also grow a bit and most certainly will put on some muscle.

I do agree that a 3-D guy out of the draft is ideal and will accelerate the development of both Green and Sengun. Chet or Jabari works for me. I don’t like what I see of Paolo’s defense or 3 pt %, but I still would probably take him if the other two were gone. To me Silas and the retention of Wood are the biggest roadblocks to both Green’s and Sengun’s development. I know you don’t want to hear it, but we are going to suck again next year unless an all-star big lands in our lap. Re-builds are just that and are rarely accomplished in two years. Hopefully ours is short and we are truly competing for a real playoff seed in 2023-24.

Chet next to Sengun would be dynamic.

But Rockets still need an elite perimeter defender as well.

Rockets should consider trading for either Jalen Johnson or Kai Jones. Both very bouncy long and switchable.

Both also have potential to be secondary ball handlers similar to Chet.

Barring trade, Rockets should identify players like Herb Jones in latter part of draft.

Agree completely. Chet and a really good 3-D small forward would be ideal. KPJ, Green, SF via draft or trade, Sengun, Chet.

He's +11 at the first Rising Stars game.
I know that doesn't mean anything but it's nice to see this.

Glad to see him getting more comfortable answering media questions in English--we knew he could easily speak it from all the practice footage we've got, but it's still nice to hear.

Between the no-look pass that the broadcasters ignored and the 3 point shot was also a nice block by Sengun.

Article ends with Kennedy calling his shot:
"If they can add another stud to this young core, don't be surprised if Houston is just a few years away from making some serious noise in the Western Conference."
