LOL. But you are wasting your time … facts do not matter to that type of person. Just ignore the 4-5 worst of them and the forum will be much more pleasant to read. I mainly check this thread just to know who to ignore.
Facts! I often feel we’re (the people) being manipulated in this manner for gain or simply for distraction from a larger issues, conspiracies, cover ups that plague us. Agreed, deep subject for the GARM.
So Cade is 15.7 points on 15.2 shot attempts, 5.5 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 3.5 turnovers on .489 TS% in 31.8 minutes. Green is 14.4 points on 12.5 shot attempts, 3.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2.3 turnovers on .511 TS% in 30.4 minutes. Seems like there should be a bigger gap here considering… One guy is fundamentally sound and highly skilled. Supposedly a high IQ player and one isn’t. One is just athletic and basically has no above average NBA skills yet. One dominates the ball and controls the offense and one stands in the corner as an afterthought on offense and chucks too many 3 pointers sometimes. One is top 2 on most rookie of the year rankings. Usually no lower than 3rd.
Lmao it’s funny to read all these comments And just reflect and realize…. People are going to b**** and complain about anything and everything no matter what. Lol. Why does it matter that Green isn’t as amazing as some of his other draft mates RIGHT NOW? Who gives AF? He’s not shooting like Steph Curry right now WHO GIVES AF? He’s not Shane Battier or Tony Allen on defense… None of that **** matters. That **** is so unimportant in someone’s rookie season. Cade looks good ok we didn’t have a chance to draft him so oh well get over that ****.. Mobley looks good but he’s got the perfect set up and coaching around him to play that way.. Nobody in here ever mentioned a Giddey and tbh he really just reminds me of Ricky Rubio not Luka.. While statistically it’s not showing yet JG still has the best chance at becoming an NBA superstar.. watching his game there’s not one thing you can say he might never be great at. He’s shown flashes of damn near everything it’s now just an improvement grind.
Right this is my point in the previous point.. Green can take off at any moment once he puts it all together and leave Cade behind. Green and Mobley obviously have the highest ceiling of the bunch.
https://www.basketball-reference.com/ Green is 51.1%, Cade is 48.9% the difference is 2.2%. And then you have some sock puppet telling you facts don’t matter to “that type of person” when you are giving the wrong facts. Talk about delusional cultists.
You're not totally right. I have watched thousands of players since the mid 90s in the NBA. I have seen better and have seen worse to be honest, hard to get attached to just one. I would not say I dislike him but the prototypical SG, tbh I hated Kobe with a passion lol but that is in the past. Somehow I had nothing against Jordan although he was a tough ahole. Stone is something else, he holds too much power. You are right that we see things differently, I do not see greatness, I see a kid with a very good first step and everything is plain good or bad but nothing I have not seen before. Maybe I grew too indifferent. I enjoy his dunks.
I think it's kind of weird to judge Cade on his scoring output, kind of seems to like he's a guy who's very valuable as a conduit with other elite shooter/scorers but not so great on his own (Draymond ish)
Cade is a -2.8 on 538’s raptor rating, Green is -7.8 which is also dead last in the entire league. https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/nba-player-ratings/ Cade is -2.4 on bbr’s bpm metric, Green is -5.1 which is also dead last in the entire league. https://www.basketball-reference.com/ Cade has not been good, and the media is probably overrating him with that top 3 ranking, but when compared with Green their overall impact on winning is not close according to any advanced metric or eye test. Points/rebounds/assists might not be that far off tho, like Shane Battier had the same numbers as Stromile Swift, both 9 and 5 guys.
Must have seen an old number. Pulled up statmuse on Google but didn't click on it so the number may have been outdated
We don’t have to agree but you must see, you’re applying a strange standard. Most All-NBA players do not do anything new to NBA history in their rookie season. That’s far higher than what a #2 pick franchise player needs to achieve. Evan Mobley is doing nothing new. He’s not done anything Hakeem couldn’t do as a rookie and worse at most things except 3pt shooting. Nothing new right? Does that mean he’s not going to be worth $40m+ in the future? Come on, he’s a max player in 2 years. Not an informative test, but it’s your life I guess.
I did not mean it in an innovative way as he is not an inventor or artist, that he has to create something unique out of what has been existing. I do not see anything that Jordan, Hakeem and others displayed. I do not see toughness, I do not see defensive intensity, I do not see humility...... That is what I meant lol. You out of all people should not take every word literally. It is also very interesting that the first name you call upon is Evan Mobley. Like you stigmatize me because I am not a Greenie, what a pile of turd really. that is embarrassing even for you to generalize people like that.
