Yea but his minutes are so sporadic; sometimes he's in blowouts and then last game, he didn't get much run if any
Starters don't typically play heavy minutes in the 4th when the team is getting blown out....especially the starters who are the largest reason why the team is getting blown out to begin with.
It's too bad Green hasn't had much opportunity to really take over a game with the clogged guard lineup. Then again he hasn't exactly asserted himself much at all. Far from a bust, but empty stats at this point, unfortunately. He's got the talent to do a lot more and let's all hope he improves over the off season. Maybe he can learn a mid-range jumper.
Green is too afraid to make mistakes in the 2nd half and the defense picks up. Dude needs to be more assertive
He had a very good game tonight, he stayed within what he's capable of doing for the most part and it looked good. He needs to keep it up.
So far in the month of February JG averaging 16 3 and 2.. 46% from fg and 38% from 3.. something nice to build on going into the all star break. Been playing some solid defense. Thinking he can probably close out the season at this same pace.
Defense has looked much better. He’s missing opportunities when the 5 is pulled out of the paint to beat his man off the dribble and go strong to the rim. Going to continue to take time to improve.
lol his praises always seem to have a backhand to it when it comes to Green, but at least he ain't btching about Green's performance.
A positive green post? Are you drunk? Jk no his on ball defense was pretty good and he did have a good game plus minus wise
I still think Green will wind up being a top 3 player from this draft. He just got stuck in a **** situation, plays a tough position for a rookie, and needs to put on muscle. He has all the tools.
And, for the most part, lacked a point guard that creates easier shots for him, as opposed to 1v1 situations where his physical limitations come into play.
Well that was a bummer realising my opponent in fantasy had Mikal Bridges. Suns really let him feast on Green down the stretch. People should also pay attention to Green's man after Green turns it over or makes a layup or is involved in the action on offense the prior possession. You'll be surprised how often it is his man scoring. I'm seeing a Carmelo Anthony-esque player in the way that he'll score. And he'll give up the same if not more on the other end.
