It sucks so much, because he is so absurdly good at basketball when he is in shape and healthy. So damn exciting to watch. Imagine all the ridiculous dunks we have missed out on as fans.

No, he is fat, and is going to eat his way out of the league.

Yeah, even dropping weight he will never be healthy, something is off about him. I would not max him out, lack of health and work ethic along with weak mental fortitude not a good outlook.

    That is a misconception.

    Metabolism thing, DNA inheritance etc.

Some people are just fat and they get fatter by drinking water among other stuff.

I remember Boogie Cousins couldn't control his weight, he ate tons of seafood and still wound up barely under 11% body fat percentage.

    Before the draft at that.

perhaps he shouldn’t have eaten tons ;)

these kids are still young ... and while you’d expect young professional athletes to be in their best shape ... many guys develop the eating habits and working out habits later on.

Now with Zion , the fact that he’s ballooned so much and has had injuries... that’s a concern . Even if he “fixes” his body he might have permanently lost a step already .

in the nba every ounce matters

I can't believe Zion is throwing money out the window. I guess he got his FRP millions and is happy with that.

Not sure if it's well known, but Kyrie is also not getting paid for the games he misses in New York. Ben Simmons, too, but we all knew about that. Funny generation of players we got here.

At least Ben and Kyrie have gotten paid $100M+ in this point of their careers. Zion seems to be throwing future maxes out the window. I mean if he found happiness with the current money he has guaranteed and eating, then more power to him.

    Zion has always been over-rated.

A big that doesn't defend at all, does rebound or block shots has a limited upside.

He is all world as an athlete and scorer inside but he does nothing else. He doesn't even have a good shoot or work ethic.

I remember chuckling at him going over Morant.

The laws of thermodynamics don’t state you need to “run, cut or jump,” to lose weight. Not how weight loss occurs.

There was a feeling he wanted out to the KNICKs
The Pelicans should grant his request
Zion for Randle, Picks and flotsam
They would at least have someone who can contribute

He is a bad version of Charles Barkley when he first come into the league

He is Greg Oden mixed with John "Hot Plate" Williams not a good combo at all.

Eating less and a bike are foreign concepts to the Pelicans training staff.

I’m surprised people missed the elephant in the room comparison when it comes to missing sessions and eating too much

hint, he just forced his way out another team
