Last year Silas was downright awful. This year he is just awful. We’ve gone from worst team in the league to third worst team in the league. Gave the super tough one game suspension for throwing things at a coach and driving away from the arena at halftime and no player has done it since. Saw drastic improvement in Augustine’s game this year. Gotta look at all the positive progress we’ve made under coach Silas!!!

Silas, show us you can coach!!

No, no, we want to lose!! Don't do that!!

You suck Silas....this team couldn't fight it's way out of a wet paper bag!!!

What the heck, dude.....don't you know we are in tank mode!! Keep losing!!
We never find ourselves in wet paper bags, so disregard that previous comment!!

    Wash, rinse, repeat !!

Whenever thread titles are followed ellipsis you just know they’re making a pointless thread for attention.

I would rather have Drexler as the head coach with Worrell, Bullard and Murphy as assistants. I promise that staff gets more win.

He's always been awful, but he definitely got worse. Not sure how that's possible.

Surprised you had enough time to take your face off of kissing Silas’ butt to actually write a response idiot. By the way “idiot” in this case doesn’t stand for “it deserves its own thread”.

    Reasonable argument. I agree somewhat.

I don't like how he plays vets mainly and is still losing all the time tho. Gup playing 3 minutes is pretty bad. JG never getting 4th quarter minutes in blowouts is pretty bad. His insistance on playing Theis earlier in the year was pretty bad.

I personally don't think it's as simple as losing is the problem. It's the way we're losing while playing a bunch of old vets that won't be here by the time we're competitive.

Theis is the type of big Silas had in Dallas when the offense was tops in 19/20

Dwight Powell-Boban non 3-pt shooting types that set screens.

Silas knew Wood, Lamb, Patton, Spalding and Olynyk sucked as screen setters.
    _________________________
Theis was a starter with a very good playoff contender Celtics team
as a PnR center, roll-man, 34.7% three point shooter at about 2.3 attempts per game.

It's the vets that are helping the team of all young kids from not losing by 60 points
    or more.

I get it though, people want success.....without actually showing success.

    It's a tug-a-war against oneself

I do not care about WINS but playing the young players. We need more talent…we need the top 3 Picks

u desperately crave attention, it’s sad

1st your useless “twin toothpicks” thread, now this meaningless thread in addition to all the other cries for attention

Did that useless twin toothpicks thread not get enough traction? Awww

To be fair he once watched half a G League game. He probably definitely knows what he's talking about.

I see this a lot but why would he want this job? I don’t think any proven coach wants this job. Not until we can show we have the potential to be more than one of three worst teams in the league. We’re years away from that as it stands today.

How much do you think he wanted to leave his cush commentator job
and coach a really young inexperienced team?

He was coming to Houston to join Harden/Westbrook/PJ Tucker.....
and Harden/Westbrook endorsed John Lucas. They would have
left anyway even if JVG was hired.

Harden wouldn't take orders from JVG....not for too long. He would have forced
a trade or got JVG fired. When has JVG won without stars?
