    This song was only available on the 1983 King of Comedy Soundtrack until he rerecorded it with different lyrics and backing band in late 90s.

    Top Gun made 357.1 million USD at the box office in 1986
    Danger Zone was the #2 song on the Billboard Hot 100

    Neither movie or song were obscure.

    I sing Danger Zone to myself when I'm driving fast in traffic.
