Are the people in the room fully vaccinated? Were they tested?

Do you understand that vaccination does not prevent transmission?

Do you understand that the risk for a vaccinated old person is higher than for an unvaccinated child?

So, you don't know the vaccination status nor testing status of the adults in that room.

btw, I understand vaccination reduces the risk of transmission and reduces the risk of serious infection, hospitalization, and death.

So that makes it ok to force children to wear masks all day for a disease that doesn't pose a threat to them, while old politicians don't wear one.

You are about as embarrassing as that politician who said he "held his breath" while taking maskless photos.

Just admit you were wrong and stand in the corner.

You still haven't answered the question. Just admit you were trying to simply make a pointless gotcha moment. You came here with the sole intent to politicize a health crisis that will soon result in the deaths of a million people in the United states and over 5 million worldwide. Selfishly crying about personal liberties while ignoring health risks your crusade has contributed to. What one would expect from a trump supporter.

    But... you be you.

You have a long history of being one of the least intelligent posters on this board. You just parrot what you have been told.

Most of those old guys are bloaters. Much higher risk group than kinds. Still should be wearing a mask. This is as much double standard as Boris.

It's fine if nobody wears a mask. But to try and defend this double standard means to be a person that has completely lost the plot, like "NewRoxFan".

But all the mandates WEREN'T always wrong. The world had no real idea what the COVID ramifications were. It was essentially new situation and, of course, it was better to err on the side of caution.

Maybe, but it's time to stop.

And some of the mandates are just ridiculous.

trump supporter questioning anyone else's intelligence is what I would expect from someone with so little integrity. But again, you keep being you.

LOL... sure, it is amazing how many people now say that. You now say you support deathsantis, aka trump junior. Again, the integrity thing.

this is where you lose people like me. You can say reasonable minds can disagree whether mandates were the right move. You can say you disagree with them. But to act like there was no basis in science or reason for vaccine or mask mandates, well again, that’s where you lose people like me.

and irrespective of mandates, there are plenty of reasons to not vote Republican, nevermind straight ticket. Your party is lost and is run by Trumpism, and all the symptoms of that disease. Your team is the team of mojoman and the General thade, of broebart, taylor green, cawthorn and trump.

Until that changes, there is every reason vote against the Republican Party. It’s actually quite simple.

It's not my party, I am not a US citizen.

And nah, Taylor Green is cray cray.

As to the mandates, there were scientists who were in favour of them and there were scientists who were against them. Some scientists flip-flopped (e.g. on masks - Fauci and Drosten initially spoke against them, then for them, etc.).

I now think that the scientists who signed the Great Barrington Declaration were right. I also think Sweden was right. That doesn't mean I support right-wing extremists or Qanon crazies.

As to the Republican party - I looked at what DeSantis stands for, and on Covid, I agree with him. I agree with him on being against mask mandates and vaccination passports. One thing I disagree with him on is gun control. But what exactly have Obama or Biden achieved in terms of gun control? Unfortunately, nothing.

Yes, I think DeSantis got it right more often than others on Covid. I wouldn't be able to vote for him, as I am not a US citizen.

But reading this, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ron_DeSantis#Political_positions - I agree with him on Covid, the economy, education, foreign relations (especially Israel). I disagree on a bunch of other things.
