As to the conspiracy theory that these dudes are all remote controlled by Klaus Schwab - that's bollocks. I am one of those folks who has been to the WEF multiple times. I find Schwab personally unpleasant, but it's not like there are some secret séances where Schwab would brainwash you and then take control of you. I guess there is just a certain type of young, ambitious people who gets invited to these things, therefore there is high overlap with people taking leadership positions in various countries and corporations. It's more like...these people are already on their way up, and Schwab then invites them.

 

The race to the bottom continues and the right wing nut jobs lead by a mile. For those of you who are cheering the blockade, consider for a moment if this became some form of mainstream method of protest. We can’t have it, regardless of the issue, regardless of the side. I fully expect that exactly zero of you will consider the greater good of the country or precedent or any high minded ideas of what is right and wrong. If that is the unfortunate case, just carry on with your team politics.

The thing is that this could've made a real impact. Canadians want the restrictions to end. I've been through multiple pseudo lockdowns here over the past 6 months. It's painful and difficult for everyone and its clear that we're past the peak of the Omicron wave. The vaccination rate here is pretty close to its maximum level. There will always be some holdouts on vaccines but Canada has done as well as anyone could have hoped. As a pretty liberal person, I'm ready for the restrictions to start rolling back. I'm even ok with lifting the provincial vaccine passports.

Instead, these truckers had to dig in and turn this into an American style right wing protest and nothing unites Canadians against something more than being perceived as American and right wing. Unlike every other developed country, Canadian nationalism is tied to the left wing instead of the right. The Canadian right wing is the opposite of nationalist, they want to be more like the US while the Canadian left wants a distinct identity separate from the US. So when these protests become clearly tied to the American right wing, the message gets lost and the public turns against this. I hate to say it but there's a reasonable level of anti-American sentiment tied into Canadian nationalism. And it gives license to Trudeau to act like an ass. He can be surprisingly vitriolic in his rhetoric but because this is all perceived as coming from the US, the public just lets it slide.

 

Trudeau is an ass.

 

The leftists have publicly dropped trou and have been walking around with their wangs on full display for a number of years now. They clearly pride themselves on their intolerance of others. This episode is continuing to further illustrate that there is apparently no conduct that is too nasty and despicable for them to engage in towards those who they are not able to dominate and control.

It used to be that they we're very careful to try to maintain 'plausible deniability' about how radical they truly are. Those days are long gone and the 'benefit of the doubt' has been pretty well exhausted with all but the most devoted supporters. People are not going to quickly or easily forget about what their leaders of the Democrat left have done here in connection with all of this

 

The truckers and their supporters have won, and those arrogant, elitist leftist establishment control freaks have lost.

Ontario to end vaccine passports, lift restrictions 'in spite' of protests

Ontario will remove most pandemic restrictions, including vaccine passports, by March 1 and loosen capacity limits sooner, Premier Doug Ford announced Monday. Masks will still be required indoors in public spaces until at least mid-March.

The announcement, which came as convoy protesters occupied Ottawa for an 18th day and the federal government enacted the Emergencies Act, brought accusations that the province had caved in to convoy demands.

Ford denied that, saying Monday’s announcement occurred “not because of what is happening in Ottawa and Windsor, but in spite of it.”

Still, at least some saw the announcement as a victory for the convoy movement. “Now Ontario. Vaccine passports gone in 2 weeks,” tweeted Conservative MP and leadership candidate Pierre Poillievre, who has been a vocal supporter of the protesters. “Keep the momentum going.”

You do realize that Ontario is governed by the Conservative Party. Not sure how this is a victory over those "elitist leftists" when they aren't even in power.

 

The conservatives have been in power in Ontario since 2018. This is as big switch over a couple of weeks ago. This is a big win for tor those people there and their supporters. And a big loss for the globalist elites.
