He is not being bought out. Stephen and Rafael are excited to get him integrated to the team. I wish he was being cut.

 

Haven’t seen the press conf. Who knows? Either way the move was to get his expiring contract buyout or no buyout. Doesn’t make much sense for him to be on the roster.

 

I will wait till he gets bought out before I assume he isnt here to stay the season and get us Ws. This seemed more like a short term win now move to me.

up. Porter jr interview (after the Raptors game) praised Eric Gordon as
being amazing. Each player wanted Gordon to stay and hinted Gordon
wanted to stay.

Wood after suspension blow up has been team friendly.
Tweeted he wants to stay. Loves this team. Rockets
believe him then so do I.

Augustin wanted to stay. Mentioned in an interview that
he dreamed of playing for the Rockets and was excited
to come to Houston. Preferred not to leave.

Porter Jr loves this team.

Jalen Green says he loves this team.

For all the individuals blasting Silas and the Rockets "Bad Culture"
The players are saying different.

I liked Schroder when he was with the Thunder. Good ball movement
between Schroder / S G-Alexander / CP3. Went to the Lakers and
became a Rondo type "I'm the only one that gets the assist."

I don't need Schroder to be a good starter.....I just need him to be an
adequate backup. Porter jr was holding on to the ball too long.
Now is playing well since he gave up social media and returned
from his suspension.

Chances are a player initiating the play could in essence have two
opportunities to get an assist in the same possession.
Schroder could do well with this mindset.

Schroder just needs to buy in as well. His name has been dragged
through the mud as a point guard while with the Lakers and Boston.
He needs to re-brand.

 

Schroder was the best player in trade. We won the trade. Sign him for 2 years.

 

I mean like I said Schroder imo will make this team much better but thats the problem we need to be tanking and max our chance at Smith/Holmgrem/Banchero/Griffin/Ivey. Getting a lpwer lotto pick wont really change anything next year.

 

Can't believe nobody wanted him for a 2nd round pick. He doesn't make much and is of zero value to us.

A decent guard at a reasonable expiring salary? Normally he'd be very popular at the deadline.

 

There had to be a place for Gordon to land because there were some bigger contracts being exchanged. We just help make other teams get better deals.

 

I mean the Rockets need to find out if Schroder
fits the system and chemistry......then Silas pull
him once he looks good.

27 games left.....Rockets/Silas can captain this ship enough to win 7 out of those 27 and
still preserve the tank.

Success of Schroder doesn't have to lead to actually winning. We got to try out Garuba and Bruno Fernando as well. And that's legit.

Schroder is a better assist guy than Mathews, Jalen Green and Josh Christopher
in my opinion.

When Porter goes out the Rockets kinda struggle even with Eric Gordon
who last season and the beginning of this season scored high as
Ball Handler in PnR.....and Sengun. Helps to include a real PG to
Porter, Sengun, Tate, J Christopher. Avoid need to draft Ivey or
TyTy. Paying too much for Brunson or Tyus Jones in free agency.
Schroder reputation is damaged goods. Price comes cheaper.

So you will need to list the top 10 things the Rockets need to be
looking at from now to the end of the season.

And don't duplicate.....listing tank 10 times or several times.

From a coaches perspective. Coach is always looking to make
the team better. Next year starting better begins yesterday.

All of those players you mentioned are under contract sans backup point guard.

Greens future: get bigger and stronger
Porters future: last 7 games or so is looking like he finally gets it.
Sengun future: keep on keeping on. Building greater stamina
Martin: improve 3-pt shooting / quicker release
Wall: who cares. If Tilman don't mind paying then let his contract expire.
Silas: let management worry about that
Who do we draft: we plan for top 3; Jabari Smith, Banchero, Chet.
Play Garuba now and see what he can do. Fernando as well.
Play Nix. That's fine. 27 games left to play him some and less EGo
But if you want to go into next season with Nix as the only PG behind
Porter jr.....you are asking to be a loser of a team and that can be
done with Clutch the Bear or anyone.
