    *whispers*

I would have taken Jabari Smith Jr. first in this year's draft.

If he fits in with giving up 140 a night while scoring 120 he will be in like a glove baby.

Sure, but they cheated to get that one title or at least that's how everyone outside of Houston sees it

    @Nook
Apache: Wow nook, don't know which point to start with first. We agree on your first point.

Nook: Wood wants an extension. Wood is not a good fit with the Rockets roster. He is a poor defender and would be on the court with another poor defender in Sengun and another poor defender in Green. That won't work. Not to mention that Wood is a cancer.
    Your opinion, duly noted.

Nook: Good luck winning anything with Banchero/Wood/Sengun as your interior defense.... none of them are even average defenders.
Apache: Again, your opinion. Duly noted. You forget Garuba and Bruno Fernando
possibility of developing and helping defensively.

Nook: If the Rockets use assets to move Wall, they deserve to be ripped to shreds. He has one year left on his deal.
Apache: I didn't say they had to use a first to move Wall. Merely stating it gives the Rockets options.
    Works as leverage as well.

    _____________________________
I think it boils down to you not believing players can change or develop.
I on the other hand do believe players can mature....deserve more than
one strike (year) and your out.

The Rockets front office lacks a clearly defined goal and appears to lack competence.[/QUOTE]
I think the direction is clear.
    1) continue to tank the rest of the year as a means of drafting
Jabari Smith or Chet or Banchero

    2) if Schroder can get back to his OKC days of sharing with him, SBA
and CP3.....then there is no need to draft Jaden Ivey. Our point guard
position could be set as Porter jr and Schroder.

    3) Wood, Sengun, Garuba, Bruno Fernando, and either Banchero, Chet or Jabari Smith
could turn into something better than you realize.

SG is set for years with Green, Mathews and Josh Christopher.

SF is set with Tate and Kenyon.
    ______________________
So every position can be accounted for with depth included. Growing together
as a group. Is there weaknesses or holes? Sure, it's not perfect just yet.
Takes time to develop guys and for them to find their role and address flaws.
Nobody is saying this team is perfect.

Who says the Kings or 76ers we're doing everything right? Both have made trades
as a means of getting to the promised land. You seem to be claiming Houston can't make
trades later just like the Kings or 76ers or make moves like when the Warriors brought in
    Durant, why?

    Why be so negative?

Dammit Nook, I had a feeling about Stone when he got the job he just gave off a poser vibe and yes man vibe, but you were the one who talked me off the ledge, and now you are taking it to him with both barrels.

We are gonna be the Kings or the Magic for the foreseeable future.

I knew we were ****ed when we offered that contract to Oladipo, can you imagine the position we would now be In?

The Gordon pick would be traded for a future pick and funneled to OKC.

I'm kind of interested to see him and how other guys play off an ok pg.

I also think he will just be out for his.

How long before we hear they are offering him an extension, near max money?

    I doubt that very much.

I am thinking he does not mind to stay here but I think the truth is that Stone did not give the OK to the trade.

I'm not saying we will be the Kings or that Stone should even be fired. He deserves more time than he has had so far.

I will give him credit when he deserves it (Sengun, Christopher, completing the Wood deal).... but I will also go after him when he makes foolish mistakes,

I am seeing a pattern emerging, but I am not writing him off at this point.

Also, if the Rockets get someone like Smith or Holmgren, the mistakes that Stone has made won't matter much.
