Are the Rockets going to pay Wood the big dollars?

I believe the max for Wood is something like $19 mil so I think most people's concerns here are pretty overblown. Even at that amount he would still be tradeable

 

Surely a player that’s worth at least 3 1st round picks should be making max money

He would have to steal the waiters tip pool for like 20 years to pay for that.

He is playing better… but how long ago was it that he left the game at halftime? When you are talking about paying a player huge money for a long period, that stuff matters. He doesn’t attend morning practice like the coaching staff has asked him to do.

He is the Rockets second most talented player… and currently the best player on the team. He has improved defensively (he needs to get better) and has been a lot better offensively. I love his ability… but I’m not personally comfortable relying on him being the best or second best player on my team, especially when he is in line for a big extension.

If they do give him a big extension, I hope I am wrong but I think they would regret it.
