they're both coddled asshats.... just a matter of degrees... i'm so sick of all these spoiled brat millionaires who are getting paid obnoxious sums to play a freakin game - yet still have to create drama.... smh... heard a comedian who was talking about he was at the 'Malice in the Palace'.... said if he was getting paid millions to put a ball in a hoop, there's nothing you could say to him to piss him off... "Your mamma is a b**ch!" "Yeh, she gets that way sometime... you should meet my Grandma..." lol! just the sheer irony of the fact that Blames forced his way to the Nyets to 'play with his buddies' - and its falling apart - bc they're all a buncha entitled asshats... lol!
Didn't Nash said Harden will not get traded before the deadline, he siad it firmly. KD and Kyrie is actually the coach and manager. Nash is just in it to ride with them.
Maybe KD punts on this season to let his knee and body heal while the Nets regroup. I'm not sure what this trade means for our picks in 25', 26', and 27'.
the 22 pick is not going to be much better or worse - KD is still out, Harris is still out, and Kyrie is still doing his own research. Curry is nice but Curry, Mills, Simmons, Johnson/Bembry/Brown/? Claxton/Griffin seems pretty .500 at best.
Exactly, and while I do really like Simmons, they need big men that can step out beyond the arc and hit threes at a good clip. None of their big men really do that. Aldridge likes to post and Blakes three point shooting has gone away. We'll see how it looks once they are on the court. I don't think this is a disaster because clearly if James got his act together once KD came back they were a huge threat.
i think it bodes well... not as well as if Blames walked for nothing... but still well... dysfunction will be their ongoing saga... already is... and they're just trading 1 self absorbed asshat for another self absorbed asshat who cant shoot... lol!
Simmons desperately needs to be on a team where everybody else wants to shoot the basketball. Pairing him with Irving and KA (and Cuery, Mills…) is the best case scenario for him. Still Harden is the way better player so we will see, if this actually makes the Nets better - especially with Irving still out on home games and KD being injured. Plus he didn’t play do a long time and all eyes will be in him and he is not known to have the strongest mentality. But it’s nice that I can finally root for Harden (and Morey) again without worrying about a pick.
Calm down my guy, it's not that serious. The fact that you continue to call him Blames shows what you are really mad about. Don't understand the vitriol.
It likely made them a lot more flexible, they got younger , more depth and if it doesnt work w Ben or Kyrie they got 2 FRPs to use to add onto a deal to replace their third star. The best case scenario for us was Harden signing long term and then becoming a bad contract. There is an ESPN article that just came out on how Hardens contract will be the worst in the NBA once he signs an extension.
It would actually be fairly reasonable for the Nets to lose out until the All Star Game. at Miami who is one of best teams in EC. Home games without Kyrie vs Sacramento and Wash -- who both beat the Nets with Kyrie. Game in MSG v Knicks that Kyrie can't play at either.
Is Ben Simmons planning to play in the immediate future? The Nets without KD aren’t even play-in caliber.
I mean if he starts playing immediately, doesn't it make the whole "mental health" aspect seem a bit like a sham? It just feels like there is something going on there beyond, "I don't want to be here." I could see Nets trying to get him to target coming back after the ASB?
If the Nets can somehow keep losing and end up a lottery team and we have our own top three pick I might cry.
The “report” is that the Nets won’t have him before the all star break and they are not going to “rush” him. The reality though is that he is supposedly in very good shape and is ready to play. The plan is for him to continue counseling while I’m NJ. The goodwill may extend to the end of this season before there are issues between KD and either Simmons or Irving. They have to make at least the ECF or one of them will likely want out.
Cam Thomas going off here and there with more minutes may help, too... Last I read, some were saying he won't play his first game until after the All Star Game which is Feb. 20th, but everything I read said they'd work him in slowly. Like this quote Woj put out from Rich Paul :
