Nets keeping jevon carter bruce brown and james johnson over bembry really goes to show just whats wrong with that front office
Durant: Excited for our team. Looking to finishing the season out with the new group. Playoffs right around the corner so we gotta fast track into getting used to each other. I think everyone got what they wanted. … Happy we got guys who want to be a part of this.
They’ve always been quick to clown on Harden. I remember even NBA awards host Anthony Anderson was making fun of him as Harden was accepting his MVP trophy. Always thought it was undeserved. But he’s clearly brought it on himself here. In one year you pull the same lame stunts to force yourself off two different teams.
Chris Haynes: Nets felt it was something they needed to do. They were exhausted. Harden saga weared on them. They knew he wasn’t all in. Nets felt this was something they couldn’t keep over their heads the rest of the season. Simmons is looking forward to the opportunity. Both sides are getting a fresh start. More beneficial now than in the offseason because I was told there were going to be complaints about tampering. It made sense to get it done now. Was this trade a shock to Harden? They knew things were in the works for a few days. James did want out. He didn’t feel the fit was right. He felt this was the best move for his career. Emotionally could [Simmons] play right now? Don’t know the answer to that. He’s still going to be seeing his therapist but this is definitely a breath of fresh air for him. This is a huge weight off his shoulders. He feels like everything is moving in the right direction.
Harden is the most recent victim of the "ring or bust-culture" imo. So focused on winning that ring to cement his legacy that he didn't even realize that this is costing more than he's gaining. Playing most of your career for one team, showing loyalty to a city, is very valuable for one's career.
Entire segment if anyone wants to watch. KD's straight face at times had me laughing. Lebron was trying to hide busting out laughing most of the time.
Can't wait for him to miss the first ballot HoF because "real HoFers pass the ball and play defense".
Imagine him forcing trades to 2 different teams of his choice in less than 13 months. Nope. Too solid for this weird azz era.
