Oh I'm sure they might have had some kind of offer like that at one point, but instead of taking it, Stone tried to leverage teams against one another drastically overestimating his leverage. Then one by one those offers dried up as those teams told him to piss off and looked elsewhere. In the end, he had to bend over and take a desperation trade with the Celtics to try and save face. The Celtics knew that and stuffed a bunch of BS in that was unnecessary to make the money work just because they could.

If a team was truly offering a first why wait it out. Strike while the iron is hot. Unless they value this years back talent poor and we’re angling for future picks

I didn't think there was a chance in hell of him being a Rocket after the deadline.

This is the part of the trade deadline where the speculation we speculated turns into the hate about the speculation we speculated and we speculate things will get speculatively worse.

At least that's what I speculate. Anyhoo... time to fockass on the TANK!

Are we waiving all the players in The trade? I’m
It really interested in seeing. Dennis play for us. Waive him And let a contender take him
    In.

I don’t want anymore Bruno’s on the team after the last one we had

I'm not a Stone fan, but I also don't know how much fanboy Patrick and the owner influence him. It wouldn't surprise me if both those guys look at trades in the NBA like they look at negotiating with workers--they want to screw over everyone for a few more pennies.

Are there any protections on the 2027 pick? If the answer is no, then I would likely do it.

Gordon is completely wasted on the Rockets, he already won games we needed to lose.

THT can get 30 minutes a night and we see what happens.

I thought I read a tweet earlier in the day about the Lakers somehow wanting to go after Schroeder, but I don't know how real that was. I hope they get nothing. I want that team to suffer. Almost as much as I want the 76ers and the Nets to suffer.

Rockets going to waive DJ, Brooks then Kanter, Schroder

Probably keep Bruno and give Nix and or Queen Hinkie specials.

I am still on disbelief that EG was not traded. I keep expecting a trade to be announced. This is crimal neglect and Incompetence.

    @Bobbythegreat mentioned it.

Could be that Stone tried to play the market and play the teams off one another...so teams called his bluff, looked elsewhere and got other deals done. As the clock ran out all of his trading partners either lost interest or had moved on to make other trades and Stone was left with Ego.

Stone should learn from this, take the deal you like the most and be done with it, especially for a player that everyone knows you have to move. Stone had no leverage here, once he had a list of offers he should have just taken the best one and moved on.

So the Rockets likely waive Schroder and I don't see why Fernandez even needs a flier.

Nix gets one of the spots.

I wonder what other fliers the team will seek. Moses Brown would be fun.

Soon as that report leaked about shaving multiple FRP offers for Gordon, I’d lost faith. Just automatically seemed reminiscent of the Dipo report. I said nothin would happen: I’m not surprised: disappointed but not surprise. Only thing we”ll be able to really get excited about is the draft and that’s only if we’re able to get high lottery picks. I don’t really believe Stones or whoever in the front office is in charge of guauing players in the league ability to bring really complimentary players to our team. We just got to hope we can hit the lotto on some of these picks and hope they develope to their fullest potential.
