    It’s basically just covering a bad bet they made in the offseason. Doesn’t do anything to improve our situation beyond that. Most people wanted wood and to a lesser extent Gordon gone to free up more minutes and shots for the kids.

    Trade that never needed to happen because signing Theis was unnecessary. Stone shouldn’t get credit for cleaning up his mistake especially when they need to waive young players to make room in the trade.

    I assume the John Wall buyout needs to happen now to use one of those roster spots. It’s a shame because this summer there still would be the option out there to allow the Lakers to unload Russ.

    Season a wash, wood and gorden along with Dennis should be traded this off season or during the draft. Wood can't be on the roster after the draft.

    I was mostly replying to the notion that we can get something in a sign and trade. If it's a buyout, anything can happen. But if you're Dennis, this decision could make the rest of your career. You need to rebuild value to get a decent contract this year. The Lakers made you the scapegoat once, they'll do it again. If he's bought out the Bucks, Sixers, Nets, and Suns could all use him.

    I thought the rule was that you have to waive your own players first to create a roster spot. I get they are waiving him and Shroeder too I’m sure… but who are the Rockets waiving FIRST to absorb two extra players before they can waive them?
