Simple question, who should be traded and not just because you want to, but because it would be best for the player and or the team? I’d say Wood because it’s best for the team and Gordon because it’s best for the player. The former might finally mean better post ups and more ability for our guards / wings to figure it out. In case of the latter, he deserves a shot at the title, don’t care how low the pick is. Theis is cool to keep around, like Augustin. Discuss
Nobody deserves anything, he has a contract and should play wherever he is dealt to. I hope Stone doesn't pass up on a good deal from a mediocre team vs a crap deal from a playoff team (just to please GORDON)
I disagree. He deserves to go to a winning team. I didn't say that Rockets should give away Gordon for free while doing so. Also, part of the business in the NBA is recognizing that it's a players league. These players have agents and these players talk to each other. After the complete f*&kery Tilman did to our championship team it's important to build back a team players want to be apart of. If we can get a good deal from the Suns but a slightly better deal from Wizards, I'm happy with us choosing the Suns. If we are getting 2 FRPs and a young player from Wizards vs 2 SRPs from Suns then obviously we should choose the Wizards deal, but that's no bad team is looking to trade Gordon anyways
I mean he already got an appreciation thread. There is no reason to trade him. He got the milk without buying the cow.
I voted all of the above, but I don't think anyone will be traded. That's not the end of the world by any means. Gordon will be on an expiring contract next season. Wood has a chance at redemption if he works hard within the team concept. Theis will probably retain some trade value in the near future as well.
