It really is something isn't it? I mean the power that Woj has in this too is just crazy.

Case: The report itself from Woj about Harden not asking for a trade because he doesn't want to ruin his reputation after asking out of Houston, and then Brooklyn actually ruins his reputation.

If Stone fumbles this trade deadline and Gordon and/or Wood is still on the Rockets roster tomorrow.....I'm going to be very concerned about how long it'll take for this team to rebuild. Can't believe I gave him so many Stone Cold Stunner .gifs during the summer for him to get:

Was just fixing to post this and agree wholeheartedly!
It might be painful for us if Stone had to do this but it could be best for the long run.
It's like some professionals/artists/etc.. will not render services at a discounted price.
They will sometimes do pro bono work (depending on the circumstances) but it's either full price or free.
This protects their "brand" and keeps it from becoming devalued.
In this case it would be Stone's word that is his brand.
"When I say decent 1st round pick I #$%^ mean it!"

Remember Suns fans have already gone through this with their cheap owner back when they had Nash, Amare, etc.. and he traded away 1st's to shed salary rather than adding that last championship piece.
If they cheap out again their fan base may come for blood!

The question is does Stone have the cojones to do it?
He didn't last year as we got minimal value for Tucker and Oladipo.
Also is the question have they promised EG that they would trade him to a contender out of respect?
If so I can just see him, if we didn't...

I want Gordon / Wood trades today.

Augustin / Thesis, Nwaba deals mean nothing to me.

If either Wood or Gordon are still on the Rockets roster after the deadline, Stone needs to catch his walking papers.

I'm with you. We can't keep this particular science experiment/roster together because I do think it will become even more toxic with time. There are lots of options. Stone needs to clear the air and make some changes.

KPJr is ever volatile. Are we really seeing ourselves bidding on him when he becomes a RFA in '23?

This Wall-prolonged bench strategy won't increase his value unless the Lakers are that desperate in their "fog." If Westbrook is willing to decline his player option in 2022, why not get free from Wall today? And why be so dogmatic about a first-round pick in '27?

We've held on to Eric Gordon, showing him loyalty. Morey should have found a trade partner. Let's move on, please.

DJ Augustin, Nwaba, and Theis have perfectly sized contracts as assets but are there any offers?

Of course I could see us “bidding” on KPJ. Have you watched him play recently?

Westbrook and 2027 unprotected FRP for Theis, Gordon, and Wood.

Clear the cap when Wall/WB expire, seriously embrace the tank and pick up what could be a very, very good pick for the future or future trades.

Much rather have that than the Suns or Cavs late first.

The biggest move for the Rockets today is what the Nets end up getting for Harden.

If Morey can limit it to Curry and Simmons, we are in decent shape.

If the Nets can yank Thybulle Curry and Simmons, I'm feeling less confident.

IF the Nets can steal Maxey I'm going to be furious.

What the Rockets do is mostly inconsequential. Trading Wall would be funny. Trading Eric to a contender is a nice story. Trading Wood makes a bunch of you hyenas get instant gratification that I'm hoping the Rockets avoid. Trading Theis for a SRP would be a miracle and probably not real. The Rockets need to stay the course and keep losing as much as they can, no need to shake things up too much.

Might as well give them Jalen Green too and all the BKN swaps. Some of these trade ideas lol.

We have too many players that we don’t need in the rebuild. I hope we can clear them before this trade deadline.

Y’all going to be really disappointed today I bet.

Would you rather take my deal or stand pat with Gordon and Wood until they walk in FA? That’s the most likely scenario.
