Rodman is one of the best defenders of all time. He was able to guard Shaq and Karl Malone singlehandedly. Hakeem frustrated him. My comments aren't personal at all. I just happen to have a different opinion. We're all Houston Rockets fans here.

Basketball is played on both sides of the ball. Jokic is a great player, but he’s no Dream.

When I say better, it's not like Dream couldn't do it all, because Dream developed into a good passer but Joker is better than good. So I gave him the edge. And in Dream's era, dominant bigs didn't bother shooting 3's. So nod to Joker. But like I said Dream had
    1. better footwork,
    2. better (jump) Hook shot, (A Dream " Go-To" Move)
    3. A better cross-over,
    4. A better pull up Jumper off-the Dribble
    5. A better fade away Jump shot (A Dream "Go-To" Move)
    6. A better Runner
    7. Dream was an ELITE Lob Threat
    8. a better pick and pop mid range jumper
    9. and a better post game.
The Joker wouldn't have a chance in hell of stopping Dream.

Not mention Dream is one of the top 3 defensive bigs of all time. He had tremendous defensive skills. Dream mastered the defensive skill of blocking shots, he was excellent in the passing lanes, and he was totally switchable. He gave guards hell (Ask John Starks). So how is Jokic more skilled?

It depends on which criteria you use to define "skills." Jokic has the edge on passing and playmaking and perhaps long distance shooting. However, outside of that, Hakeem was the much better player overall in all other aspects and it's not even close.

Their playoff offensive stats are remarkably similar. Dreams defensive skills put him head and shoulders ahead.

He looks just like Hakeem on this play.

I didn't watch Hakeem live as i wasn't alive during his prime. However i don't feel like a basketball player (not just big man) can be significantly more skilled than Jokic.
He can do absolutely everything on the court. Statistics even prove him to be a good defender this year. Last time i checked Jokic ranked #2 in defensive rating.

If he was born in a more athletic body, he'd quite easily be the best player in the league i think.

Not a knock on Hakeem at all. I just think it might be reasonable to have the discussion.

    Whatever.

Hakeem is widely considered one of the 2-3 best defensive players ever and one of the 10 best best basketball players in NBA history.

According to a local media reporter in Denver Jokic has a huge hog though, like down the knee… so he has that going for him at least.

Spoken like someone never watched Dream play. Dream is so much better than Jokic that it’s really a joke. Dream would destroy him

On offense, they might be on comparable level, although they are vastly different types of offensive players. On defense, it's not even close.

Exactly, and in the 80s and 90s, Big Men don't jack up 3s.

Dream could hit 3s, his jumper is better than like our entire current roster

You forgot that Hakeem won those championships at age 32 and 33.

He was the best shot blocker in the history of the league.

Had the best footwork in decades.

    Imagine Jokic at age 33.

Jokic is not just unathletic, he literally cannot jump high at all.

Jokic skills are amazing but he did not show them that much in the Playoffs.

You can compare all you want but to be fair you have to watch Jokic at age 33 to make that accurate assessment.

IMO Murray has to lead them as a potential superstar if Denver wants to have any Playoff success.

Why are you continuing to compare Dream and Jokic?

Dream is a better than Jokic point blank, I have never said otherwise.

Jokic is a better shooter, passer and dribbler than Dream and those are considered skills ai already said Dream was a better shot blocker, anyway I said what I said and you seem to want to debate who was the better player and I am not going there with you.
