I gotta admit, if Stone follows up blowing the #2 pick by failing to move Gordon, Wood, and a few others..... maybe it would be time for him to seek employment elsewhere. Waiting till the last second is a big gamble
hahaha. I sense sarcasm here. Anyway peace to all Rocket fans as we live through the pain off re-building what was a long run of competing.
I'm getting very nervous. I sell houses for a living. When I put a house on the market and get multiple offers, I typically set a deadline for a highest and best offer and when that deadline passes, we accept the best offer on the table. The reason you do that instead of just waiting around for weeks for a better offer is because your buyers will get frustrated and move on to other houses. You have to move when you have maximum leverage. It looks like a whole lot of buyers have gotten frustrated and moved on to other houses. That Cleveland, New Orleans and Utah are no longer potential suitors doesn't bode well. If Phoenix really is the only remaining suitor for Gordon there is no way they'll give up a 1st. Why would they? We have no leverage if there is only one potential buyer.
Agreed on almost all fronts except referring to Wood as a 6-10 19/10 wing like it's some sort of positive. He hinders this team way more than Eric Gordon who people seem to believe has to be traded. Not sure I've seen a player look as bad as Wood does that posts the stats he does. KPJ/Green need a real stretch 4. Not whatever Wood is and will continue to be. If he's still here after 2 pm I'll be massively disappointed. I would trade him for the best package offered to you.
Yes, I hear ya. But playing PHO vs GSW should have some legs IMO. Kuminga + Wiseman? Why wouldn’t GSW try to max the Curry window?
Again, as you did to @foggy94 … your Stone Rep issue is all based on rumors that Stone turned down a good deal … not just any FRP, but a good one that he would regret. Let’s talk about Regret, then, and Stone’s Rep moving forward. Consider PHX. If PHX fails to execute a trade today, and don’t win it all, Stone’s rep to Stand Pat might actually help him with other contenders in the future, should PHX/Sarver take a lot of criticism for not getting EGo. this is exacerbated, should EGo actually land a solid FRP this summer, etc.
It's like you guys just completely forget that the bulk of deals happen last minute or something lol jesus have a little faith in Stone
i agree...include the lakers too. We have the leverage. this is how you win in trades, play hardball. a championship means more to them than a second round pick or a late first while taking on a long unneeded contract. we can always move EG and Wood this summer, but their clock is ticking.
You do you buddy, but acting like it's over because he hasn't done anything yet is just silly as hell.
