The teams in the 1 and 2 slots kept their picks. The ones afterwards dropped. If we aren’t in one of those first two slots then we lose our pick. We now know the lotto results.
if they get westbrook they buyout his contract, and based on the Cba provision they can stretch out his contract of 47m to like 5 - years at 9.5 or something i read. So thats 5 years of not having that money. Almost like not a having a Max MLE to give to a attractive player. In 3-4 years that might suck if rockets need to sign somebody in need of bench scoring. Who knows, i probably just do it. But i atleast get Westbrook, Nunn, Horton and 2 2nd rd picks attached for Wall,Gordon. I think Nunn could be valued, and Horton might be a good player down the road.
That's not how probabilities work...... Try the tankathon simulator. It's different most of the time. U cant definitely say for sure that levert and Allen would have denied us drafting at where we did. Fourth shttiest record could have gotten us top 4, etc etc. Less likely due to percentage but not impossible or unlikely Unless u are suggesting the draft is rigged.
Michael Scotto @MikeAScotto about 8 minutes ago Sources: The Lakers, Knicks and Raptors have discussed a 3-team trade. Lakers get Cam Reddish and Alec Burks. Knicks get Goran Dragic and draft picks. Raptors get Talen Horton-Tucker and Nerlens Noel. There’s also a chance Kendrick Nunn is added to the trade as talks continue
No. They are saying last year's draft rankings already happened. The worst 2 teams kept their picks and others fell. If we were any better we may have lost the pick
I thought Reddish couldn’t be packaged with any other players due to him having been traded recently.
Now I follow, and I’m being sincere, I didn’t realize that the alternate reality where the Rockets made totally different trade and personnel decisions and then played out the season to a different record was maintaining this timeline’s exact same draft lottery results. I do now understand the point, if all of that happened, the Rockets would have been four wins away from losing their pick.
If people are not happy with Stone, then they are idiots. The place was a mess when he took over, no draft picks............Morey left him with a hole to dig out of
Then they would be crazy. A career is not just what a player did on their rookie year. also forgetting that he got Sengun and Christopher in the same draft is being left out in the draft haul. Stone did a great job to build the talent base to build with
Just grab Jalen Smith. He’s a top 10 pick PF that’s actually good but doesn’t get mins on the Suns because their so stacked.
You forgot that Stone was part of Morey's team and he was totally fine with digging that hole and wasn't complaining. In the first place. His assistant GM or whatever function succeeded Morey and was part of everything Morey did. Part of the mess you described.
