The Lakers need to go ahead and pull the trigger on this. John still has gas in the tank and he can play a lot smarter than what he showed last season when he was trying to prove himself.

Give us your unprotected FRP to give Bron a freaking chance this season. The buyout market will be slim pickings.

The majority of the public didn't, that's why Bron was on defense mode when people were making fun of their old ass roster. Turns out the majority of us were right besides delusional fans.

No reason to take on Horton and give them Gordon. THT has looked horrible this season and we don't need another 6'4" guy to add to this short team. I rather keep Gordon. The Lakers are the ones that are desperate, not the Rockets. They don't have any options.

We should take the deal if we can get anything. Not like Wall's value while not playing is different than Westbrooks. They'll both just be huge expiring deals next season. They can play chicken up the last minute on that 1st round pick. It's pretty clear they'd rather get Wall for 2nd round picks so they can use the 1st rounder for a clear upgrade.

Christian Wood would be a good fit for LA too, but the Lakers just have so little to offer.

What do the Lakers have beyond that 2027 first round pick?
Kendrick Nunn & 2nd round picks?

I'd rather have Kendrick Nunn (They'd have to add one of the vet minimum deals). Horton is negative value with that contract.

They can still do FRP swaps in 2026 and 2028. In 2023, NO gets first shot at swapping, but I wouldn't object to tacking on a swap of Milwaukie pick for the lesser of the NO and Lakers pick.

Kendrick Nunn is a frustrating player. THT has been a disappointment since he cashed in.

The only thing we should want are those 27 & 28 firsts, unprotected.

The Lakers act like they can’t recoup picks from an AD or Lebron deal.

    @Hemingway

And Anthony Davis is being seen as, "Broken Down"

Nursing Injury after injury isn't helping his case

Frustrating because he hasn't played a game yet?

I’ve seen him play on the Heat way too many times and Spolly was pulling his hair out every time. I wasn’t surprised when he got sent packing. He’s not getting minutes because he’s not that good.

well its obvious you don't keep up with Nunn like at all. He had a career year with miami in his 2nd season.

The heat sent him packing? Umm no. It's more like he decided to sign with the Lakers in free agency. He also turned down more money offered by other teams. Nunn played nearly 30 mins per game.

I’m skeptical Russ would get a better deal than Wall. I can’t believe a team gave up value to get Russ over the summer but I think every other team would be smart enough or not have a need for Russ to avoid giving him any real money. Like maybe you could see the Kings or Hornets doing it, but even they aren’t going to mix Russ with their current rosters.

That said, Russ is way more competitive than Wall so would be more open to getting bought out.

For an unprotected FRP down the road, I sure as hell do.

The heat didn’t want Nunn. Again, he was getting minutes, but was very inconsistent.

he's a role player. all role players are inconsistent newsflash. inconsistent is probably one of the laziest reason folks use to point out something they obviously don't keep up with.

the heat needed to sign their free agents including PJ and Duncan Robinson. Nunn wasn't going to play for minimum. that would be stupid. The S&T move for Lowry put the heat in position to be hard capped. This notion that the Heat just sent Nunn packing is pure nonsense

John Wall could come out looking washed, but I don’t think his ego is as big as Westbrook’s, and he’s not as dumb out on the court on either side of the ball

he’s not a good shooter either, but he’s still a tier above Russ

Lakers will still be trash with Wall, but what can they really do at this point?

It would be addition by subtraction, just not having Westbrook on the court at any point ever makes teams better.
