It's too bad the bottom half of the East is such a dumpster fire because the Nets look terrible right now. It's impossible for them to miss the play in. Gotta hope the Hornets or Hawks can push them down to ninth. It would be amazing to get a second lotto pick this year.
I wouldn’t be surprised. I watched a couple of their games during the win streak. They might break our losing streak
yea. I mean they were 2-28 to boston at some point tonight. Not even the godawful Rockets managed to accomplish anything similar to that. That was one of the worst live scores I've ever seen.
thing is, after a 9 games loosing streak, without KD, Harden and or Kyrie missing for half the games, they are only 5 games back from 1st seed. It's too bad KD and Harden are top 10 players, because I have no doubt if they get healthy they will shoot back up the standings
Yes this losing streak is fool’s gold for the Rockets. Durant coming back even without Harden will keep them near the top. If both come back they will put a winning streak.
The east 11/12th seeds actually have a better record than the west’s 10th seed. We are just used to 8 teams not 10.
Wouldn't bet on it this season guys, especially if they trade Harris for a couple of useful pieces which they should have done before the season tbh.
lmao, ok guy. What team has consistently given away high lottery picks as a result of a trade 5 years in a row to the same team? It does not happen, and it doesn't happen for a reason. Not that hard to figure out. "We recognize it as an artificial projection of arrogance".... are you trying to string together words you do not know the meaning of? Are you now speaking on behalf of Clutchfans, or are these discussions you had with the voices in your head? You can not possibly think those pick swaps are valuable to this franchise, unless you are truly dense LMAO.
IDK. They were barely at the top of the East before Durant went down. What makes you think that they can make up 5.5 games with 28 games left?
The start of that game brought a smile to my face as I reminisced about that Rocket-Clippers game where Harden made Wesley fall. Oh how I miss those time. In retrospect I took those boring wins for. Granted.
They are closer to missing the playoffs entirely than they are the #1 seed - that includes the final play in spot. They are now 5.5 games out of the 1 seed. Brooklyn is #8, 1.5 games up on #9 Charlotte and 3 games up on #10 Atlanta. It's not inconceivable that they fail to make the playoffs ...
Be realistic guys. Out of shape James Harden has won more than 70% of his games with the Nets overall and Durant/Irving have missed a ton of those games. The nets have won 66% of their games with Durant this season. They have won 65% of the games they've played Harden and Durant together, and over 70% when Kyrie plays too. They've obviously gotten mentally lazy over there but sometimes talent is just talent.
