So, it’s an indictment on the FO for not getting Hali? Lol, I guess Tyrese was the guy to vault this team into contenders. I can tell you’re a fan of him but he’s been kind of inconsistent at times. He shows flashes like any good player but we didn’t have a elite/Sabonis type of player on this team as of this point. The assets gained/will be gained in the near future matter more to this rebuilding process then stunting the growth of these young guys.
Morey sucks and always has….happy he’s gone. Just struggling with the fact we are years off from being a contender. Next year we’ll struggle to win 20 games again. Stone made some huge mistakes and not surprising being that he learned his skillset from Morey. If Green is our future and he likely is, then we are in big trouble. Mobley was right there for the taking and we went for hype over heighth and skill.
...Halliburton was the 12th pick in a bad draft and played the same position as the Kings presumable franchise player. He didn’t have the trade value of Green last year.
SMH, give it time with rookies. He’s only 19. Plenty of room for growth. He doesn’t even have his nba body yet.
Wood already averaging 18/11 on team without a system or a better player to take heat off him. On more talented team with an actual NBA caliber coach, will average more than 20. Edit: Last couple of games have pulled Wood's numbers down.
Mid season that value skyrocketed. He still performed as one of the better picks of the draft. Kings were never trading Hali in the first year of his NBA career after what he started doing. He’s a decent player that didn’t fit what the Kings wanted. It landed them a player that may or may not work though. Sabonis is a very good, more accomplished player than Wood. Hands down.
I hope he is right. Not a bad time to cash in on Wood. We spent no assets to get him, possibly time to take whatever we can for him. He isn't a foundational building block, and sits in the same position as the (currently projected) top 3 draft picks.
Wood was 3rd option last season remember? He averaged 21/10. He was unstoppable playing PNR with Harden.
This is y anti tank folks doesn't believe tanking never works, uses the king. Incompetent franchise always panics and make hasty ass desperate trade that blows up in their face. Draft poorly also.
Sabonis ia a good player, he is a good rebounder, facilitator and scorer. I always thought Sengun plays like him and would be like him in two years. We must be patient but I would trade Wood.
