he is. but is he an all star in the west? I would say no. Good player as I've said. But being relied upon in the west in Sac of all teams, that have now less talent isn't exactly ideal. He'll get exposed just like any other player that isn't able to impact the game in the way they're hoping by giving up on a keeper like Hali. They're 15 games under .500. Sabonis isn't that type of player to be able to make up that significant ground and actually be playoff relevant
Morey wanted Fox and Halliburton and he also wanted To send out Tobias Harris so I guess he wanted more in return
Not to SAC, and not this year and next. Sac wants to compete, it seems. Jalen does nothing for them, they already have a disappointing #2 pick in Bagley, why would they want another one.
Bottom line is that SAC needs bigs to help Fox. And Sabonis gives the owner some star power to sell tickets and "hope" for playoffs. Kings can build around Fox and Sabonis by putting 3 long 2 way players around them.
We also have to remember Fox is always hurt. Anyone can point out certain aspects on why moves were made but at the end of the day, this deal didn't do much for Sac. You traded for a guy to win now, when you're no where close to winning haha. And gave up a clear future talent in a guards league
Man, if Morey really turned down the potential of Embiid + Halli + one or two of Maxey/Seth/Thybulle/Buddy he really is shooting for the stars
Would have loved to get Halliburton. I wonder if the Kings would have made a swap for Wood last year.
