Yup, I know it. Dipo was in the dunk contest and had a few nice dunks, in-game quickness, good start stop ability.
Concrete predictions? Jalen Green will never, ever, ever live up to being drafted over Mobley. More fluid prediction, in the spectrum of Lavine->Jordan Clarkson that was his expected return, he is now trending more and more towards Clarkson. Would still make a good 6 man and don’t forget Filipino appreciation nights!
haha, good point, but hedging and risk-management is a valuable life-skill. Gun-to-my head, "make a decisive prediction now!!!" I’d say middling 6-7th man on an average team. But I’ve been wrong many times.
I think another good thread might be Green vs Ivey. If you could trade Green for Ivey straight up would you do it? I would, but I still think JG is going to be good at some point. I thnk Ivey is even more special and sooner. My prediction is Green will be a 25 ppg starting SG, but will never live up to being the second pick or surpass Mobley. By the way, I was not in favor of drafting Mobley or Green but wanted to trade down for Barnes and Sengun. Neither assessment was good, since we got Sengun anyway.
Learning that two prominent board members of the Jalen Haters Association actually have a more optimistic outlook on him than I do has my head is spinning. If you put a gun to my head and forced me to make a definitive prediction right now I don't know exactly where I land but it's certainly worse than Jordan Clarkson.
So that's a yes that you paid the bet you made that Marcus Morris would be better than Kawhi Leonard. Cool.
Clarkson is a reasonably solid player but if your expectation is below Clarkson that’s a pretty bad outcome. That outcome is almost like someone you could just sign as an FA for the mid level and maybe a good bit below depending on how much worse we are talking about. That would be a pretty big miss at #2, especially with Mobley going third.
Lol Rocketgirl took a jab.....funny that the trade deadline and his birthday are pretty close to each other.
