Jabari went 2-15 and 2 for 7 in recent games. He'd fit right in.
    =)

Not taking sides, surprise me with either Jab or Chet.

The only thing that worries me about Jabari is if he has the dog in him that Chet does. That’s the difference between him being Ingram and a superstar

Jabari has plenty dog in him.

He can be too aggressive at times.

Yeah I’ve seen it, but I’ve seen some passiveness and unwillingness to get physical too

    On defense? I disagree.

And on offense he's been too aggressive recently.

Not on defense, more so settling for jumpers instead of getting to the basket.

Well, he is an elite shooter.

And he is not a great ball handler, so playing to his strengths is not a bad thing.

If anything, Auburn should be setting up Jabari for easier plays at the rim. Lobs, DHO, PnR, etc.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Jabari. Him and Chet are equals to me.

Are you really knocking Smith for settling for Jumpers when Chet spends most of his time at the 3 point line?

I have been saying over and over again that I would like to see Smith do more, but Chet has done even less on offense from a shot selection standpoint.

    Chet:
    5.2 2P FGA
    3.2 3P FGA
    Smith:
    6.6 2P FGA
    5.0 3P FGA

I like Jabari, a lot. But he does settle for the 3 at times.
Chet does take 3s, but one does more than the other.
You gotta watch more than your favorites. You can’t keep commenting on Chet when you don’t watch any games.

Ingram doesn't pay enough attention to defense and he is a black hole on offense that's why he ain't a superstar. Jabari has no issue playing defense 1-5 and his 3 pt spacing is elite, he is the best shooting big man prospect in the last couple of years shooting 40% on 5 attempts a night. He doesn't have the killer mentality of Chet but he is also pretty much a sure thing in the same way Ja Morant and Cade Cunningham were compared to Zion and Mobley.

Chet is the more unique prospect and his production is off the charts but it also comes with risk due to his unique nature (aka his super thin frame and he gets dropped hard 2-3 times almost every game). If you are asking who is the better college player now then obv it is Chet but if we are asking who is the better talent 7 yrs from now then IMO it will be Smith just cuz you know how his body will fill out. He can handle 20-40 additional pounds of muscle I dunno about Chet.

But it anyway it doesn't matter since it looks like Jabari/Chet are the no 1/no2 right now, Banchero is the 3rd and Ivey is a distant 4rth. We gotta wait and see what pick we have first it might all be moot.

I wasn’t trying to compare Ingram in terms of skillset. I’m not really sure who Jabari compares to honestly. I was saying level of player, a good player slash star that flashes rare ability vs a superstar.
I’m fine with any of the 3, I’d prefer defense with elite shooting. Which both Jabari and Chet give.

Yeah both Jabari and Chet look amazing, but it's gonna be a 50/50 again hopefully luck is on the Rox side cuz it seems like talent in this draft is pretty weak outside the top 4. Haven't really seen guys who stand out after the top 5 or so.

Smith, Chet, Banchero and even Hardy, I'd be happy with any of those guys tbh the Rox have so many holes on the roster.

I actually like the 5-10 range. With a few reaches, someone may be there within the Top 15. After that, there will probably be some players, but it is likely more luck than skill on who gets them as teams typically are betting on guys with one skill.

They are similar in shot selection. Jabari is a little more smooth and can take and make harder shots off the dribble and Chet is better in the post.

Chet has been taking and for the most part making a couple shots off the dribble or drive the last handful of games surprisingly. Against BYU he beat a couple people off the dribble to the basket, and had a pull up in the lane and a spinning jumper.

I dont think Jabari looks as smooth as Chet off the dribble. Handles aren’t a strength of Jabari’s….yet. He does look smoother on pull ups, not sure if that’s a function of Chet looking more gangly or not

We have a really good idea of the top 4 in this draft.... someone could fall, but unless it is an injury, they are only falling a spot or two.

Homgren/Smith/Banchero/Ivey are likely going 1-4 or in the top 6 of the draft.

Sharpe and Griffin both have a good chance of going next......

After that is an interesting group of potential draft picks like... Davis, Mathurin, Murray, Brown, Washington, Kessler and Jovic.

Not all of these will be good players obviously but they all have talent and ability.
