What if they simply preferred Levert because he is a superior playmaker and more team friendly contract?
Lol y’all wasting y’all time. The later it gets the worst the situation gets for Houston. Sellers panic before buyers
They shouldn't call it a trade deadline this year, they should just call it a dead line. Ain't nothin happenin'.
Yeah. Kind of sad some of them are saying they think both he and Wood have a good chance of staying. But we'll see -- only a few days left.
Them re-iterating that Rockets Org is still high on KPJ as PG. This is disappointing news. Not great for JGup.
Rafa should strike while the iron is hot on Wood and EG. Get rid of them and use the gains from the trade to rebuild our future.
I don’t know about more team friendly contract, but he’s definitely is a more natural passer, and another important factor is his age. Cavs are a very young team, LeVert at 27, with only 5 years (with a number of injuries) hasn’t logged many minutes. He’s probably still viewed to have potential to grow as a player, and at 6 years younger then Gordon, they can probably see him being a long term fit.
They wanted him in large part because of his age and ability to penetrate to the basket. He is in the top 5 in penetrating to the basket. I personally don’t think he is that good but they think he has room for improve even in his mid 20’s.
If Stone fails to move Gordon for a solid return, he should get some heat. He hasn’t exactly set the world on fire with his trades and some of the positives (Tate/Wood/Weaver) were discussed when Morey was still with the Rockets. Christopher has been a nice find but it doesn’t come close to making up for passing on Mobley and Barnes at #2. The LeVert trade recently only highlighted the Oladipo whiff. Stone still has some time, but so far he has been a mixed bag.
Saric, Payne and a 1st for Gordon? Why haven't we hit the accept button yet? hell i'll start parking Gordon's bag now.
