    Incompetent leadership.

If the Texans were a publicly traded company, Cal would have been forced out a long time ago.

It looks like the Saints are hiring their DC Allen as HC now. Everyone knew they were going to promote Allen to HC. So they had to make black candidates go through sham interviews just so they could promote the guy they wanted the whole time. I am fine with the Rooney rule UNLESS you are promoting from within.

The Texans have to be the worst professional franchise to ever exist.

I actually like the choice better than the others. He did a great job making our defense better without the Pro Bowl type players other teams have to work with. I hope he gets us some great pieces in the draft to make us a defensive threat. He knows where are weaknesses are, and I look forward to what he will do with this team.

Why stop there. They are one of the worst organizations of any kind.

I rank them just slightly behind the Khmer Rouge.

Not sure what point you are making but I thought he proved he can take mediocre talent and bring out the best. Let's hope we can improve on that talent when we rid ourselves of useless lying Watson and put that money into someone who brings us more than some creep stalker who doesn't want to play for us.

Cal McNair on hiring Lovie Smith: 'The last couple of seasons have been disappointing, but I believe in the vision Nick Caserio has for our football team moving forward and I see the pieces coming together.'

Nick Caserio on Lovie Smith: '“I am excited to introduce Lovie Smith as our next head coach. He is one of the most respected coaches in the NFL and an established leader.'

Lovie Smith: 'I want to first thank Nick Caserio and the McNair family for giving me this opportunity. I’m humbled to be the next head coach of the Houston Texans and incredibly excited to continue to work with Nick.'

Pep Hamilton promoted to offensive coordinator, retained Frank Ross as special-teams coordinator

    Mark Berman (@MarkBermanFox26) Tweeted:
#Texans safety Justin Reid (@JustinqReid), whose contract expires in March, on Lovie Smith named the Texans new head coach: “I’m so happy for him. Extremely qualified. He’s the guy everybody in the locker room wants to play for. Really brings the best out of his players…” https://t.co/zu1ocnINGF

Did Flores file that lawsuit to stop the Texans from hiring him?
