2022 may not be as deep as 2021 but I love the consensus top 6 in this draft so much more. 6'9 Paolo Banchero 7'0 Chet Holmgren 6'10 Jabari Smith Jr 6'3 Jaden Ivey 6'5 Shaedon Sharpe 6'6 AJ Griffin Would love to trade up so Rockets have 2 picks in top 6. Want top 3 big AND Griffin.
I have to double check, but I think Sharpe is going to take a year to play college as of today. Don't hold me to that...
Maybe, maybe not. As of right now, he has the option. Would be foolish to go back to school if he's a top 10, maybe even top 5 pick.
Me too I think the top of this draft is stacked and last year the top 3 were way above everybody else. I think all 6 of these guys go before Green. I think it's a debate if Cade goes 1, I think Mobley would still be in the mix top 3.
IMO it would be between Banchero and Mobley for top spot. But it depends where Stone is drafting, he is the wildcard. Couldn't find his own ass unless it was attached to his face. Maybe not even then.
I want Chet or Jabari, but this class is looking really nice at the top. Jaden Ivey going to be a stud, too.
Those are my favorites too. Both Ivey and Griffin will be studs. But I prefer Griffin more for Rockets because he is elite 3ball shooter and a longer switch defender (7'0 wingspan). Sharpe also supposed to have 7'0 wingspan.
Yep, saw that too. Will believe it when Sharpe's spokespeople tweet something similar. Temptations are a'coming.
If he is a top 6 pick then I think Cal is going to be hard pressed not telling him to bolt. Risk is way too high in that scenario.
Zero chance the Magic do, they are horrific. Pistons maybe, but we need to trade Gordon. I've accepted Wood is probably staying.
We need to invest BIG time as far as turning our future assets into a second top 6 pick. Chet/Griffin or Ivey is the key to unlocking Sengun/Green. Segun/Garuba Chet/KMJ Griffin/Tate Green/Brooks/Matthews Christopher/Nix Just let that group of players mature for 2-3 years and add a star where needed via trade down the line.
Griffin can do everything Tate can, offensively and defensively. Except Griffin is 6'6 to Tate's 6'4 and has 7'0 wingspan vs 6'8 for Tate. Oh, Griffin is also 40% from 3P too.
As were finding out there should have only been a consensus top 2 pick last year and we had one of them and it’s looking like we dropped the ball on that pick. This year though seems it isn’t as crucial to be in the top 3 like last year, would be nice but griffin and Ivey are looking really great consolation picks if we miss out at the top 3.
I like KPJ/Green/JC as the guard rotation and I'm hoping Sengun/Garuba can play 48 effective minutes at the 5. Martin and Tate are depth pieces at forward but getting 2 guys that can grow into difference makers at the 3 & 4 needs to be the goal. I'm hoping for Banchero & Tari Eason but starting to think AJ Griffin and Kendall Brown would also be nice. I wonder if Brown could be similar to Pat Williams defensively as a 4?
