Mobley's situation is perfect because he has a competent system, coach, and teammates that complement his skill set.

Sengun and JC aren't further along at all. Their development has been stunted by Silas and how he plays vets and allocates minutes.

but anyway, JC and Sengun are playing the role they were going to be playing as Rockets they aren't really changing who they are as players.

JC was even told they want him to be a Jrue Holiday so he worked toward being Jrue Holiday in summer league (when everyone hated him for it and now love him). When Jalen was told to first be the #1 option in Summer League he excelled. Then they told him to change his game to be an off ball player in the regular season for KPJ when he is not that. JC and Sengun are playing the exact same way they played in Summer League, Jalen isn't because he is being asked to play a different way

Are you following how Mobley is in a great situation? Mobley was playing the same way in Sumer league except he has good teammates to feed him the ball now. He hasn't had to change his game like Jalen has.

Jalen green can have all the minutes in the corner, it doesn't mean that is making him better.

if Rockets wanted a player to stay in the corner why even draft Jalen in the first place?

Silas even said he had no say in drafting Jalen so you can tell he isn't tailoring his offense for him.

If we can trade Green for someone like Anthony Davis I would be very happy.

Whether Silas had a say in drafting Jalen matters not. Stone said that Silas is in charge on the court. And Jalen was an automatic starter from day one. And Jalen has the 2nd most minutes averaged on the Rockets.

And I am far from a Silas supporter but when Jalen has the minutes and starter spot, HE also needs to be responsible for his performance. Every time Jalen screws up it is always Silas, KPJ, Wood or EGo's fault.

So why isn't Jalen better when KPJ sits out of games?

Why aren't we seeing this SL Jalen that was so magical?

Part of the reason is that Jalen is just better when KPJ feeds him because Jalen's handles are not reliable and he is not a 3 level scorer, especially in half court.

Jalen was also much better in SL because the competition was garbage.

Role and fit is important but Jalen has had much more opportunities than either Jaygup or Sengun, he was an automatic starter while both Sengun and Jaygup had to earn their minutes.

Jalen should still be instant offense in practically any system because his draft rep was a high octane acrobatic 3 level scorer. But we know that he struggles with 3ball due to form, struggles with midrange due to release, struggles at rim due to strength.

Jalen is at his best in transition and early offense when the paint is empty.

His improvement getting to line and his FT% has improved dramatically so we do have hope.

FYI, Jaygup also struggled in SL because Rockets tried to make him a PG.

And Mobley is Mobley. Have him play a secondary role and he will give you a double double most every night.

Ask him to carry team and he may not win, but he'll give you a fighting chance and 25-30 points.

Mobley is a 7 foot 2 way player who does not foul evem when he plays elite defense. And his offense is consistent regardless if role player or 1st/2nd option.

    Stop and think before arguing.

Green IS a guard... just like Kobe Bryant. Kobe Bryant averaged 4.7 assists per game for his whole career. It wasn't until his 4th year that he averaged over 4 assists per game. Kobe was a great and effective guard. Green had 4 assists tonight. That's not some bad number. It's certainly not a reason to trash our rookie 19 year old shooting guard. Good night nurse..

Sila's old notes on Curry weren't notes at all, just an old Indian Food Menu he forgot to throw away...

Stone is playing 4D chess, if we draft Mobley there is absolutely no way we get Chet next year.... Be happy

KPJ is seriously immature and seem to be uncontrolled sometimes, I honestly think he is a nice guy but is hurting this team. He is suppose to be the team's PG....their leader but he is not. Jalen Green needs a veteran at PG to help him....i would trade KPJ yesterday but honestly nobody wants to touch him.

It's nights like tonight where my confidence in Silas is waning.

His unwillingness to adjust in game is maddening. Why not play the hot hand? KJ, Jaygup, Matthews, etc. Are doing well. Sub them out for a struggling lineup and watch the game implode.

I would get it if he did this to force the young guys to get minutes. But it's actually the opposite. He'll stick with vets to try to pull out wins even when they're playing poorly. He sat Green almost the entire 4th. Why?

I am hoping after the deadline we see this change. I love KPJ the player, but he's not a natural PG. When he's on, he's a GREAT scorer. But he's not a great facilitator and he's not good at initiating an offense. He cannot hit passes to guys in stride in tight spaces. It's time to call up Nix and start giving him real run at PG here. Maybe he's not the answer, who knows. But development years are precious, and we have to at least try and see what we have.
