Don't believe much would change from Houston perspective from the
rumored Harden (Nets) to 76ers for Simmons/Thybulle/Danny Green

Nets would probably be better as their defense ramps up
overnight. Simmons PnR with Kyrie/Durant would be
    deadly.

Those Nets picks later in a few years are looking better and better. Stone did a great job on that deal in the end. Durant might be the only one left there after this season and he is injury prone himself. Not sure Brooklyn will re-sign a part time Kyrie

I am really hoping for NO Harden trade. I much prefer he walks this summer for nothing. A Harden trade or lack thereof might be the most important aspect of the deadline for the Rockets.

This tweet overstates things. The Nets would be in the play-in tournament in that scenario and need to win there without Kyrie to avoid that pick being in the lottery.

Nets have 7 games between today and All-Star game. KD due to return after ASG for last 23 games. We need Nets to lose as many of these next 7 as possible. We'll see what KD, Harden and .5 Kyrie can do the last 23 games (if they can stay on the court).

Nice thread OP, better than some of the other stuff that's being regurgitated.

The Harden to Philly as FA thing seems like a real smokescreen. The paper trail for tampering is pretty long at this point, unless it's some kind of false flag stuff.

I don't think they are looking any better. The Nets picks were always essentially locked in as late first round picks. If they trade Harden, they will have a more balanced team with Simmons and Thybule , Curry or whoever the fillers are. If there is no trade and Harden walks, or if there is one and Simmons doesnt help them win it all, then they will still have the ability to fill a max spot with KD/Kyrie in the off season. They still have tradeable assets, its not like they have a Westbrook or Wall contract on their hands. Even if all big 3 demand out, they will get replacement players and outbid every team for the fringe star players that many teams do not want to pay. They can build a roster like the Cavs in the East overnight with that type of cap space and money. Keep in mind this is the same team that is getting away with paying guys under the table with extra incentives like covering all of their miscellaneous expenses for themselves and their side pieces. Historically is there an example of a team being bottom 10 without trying to be bottom 10? If a team has zero incentive to lose, they can build a playoff team in the East with minimal luck and effort, as long as you show you are willing to spend which they have shown.

Stone and Tilman still bungled this trade, and it seems like its better because of the drama in Brooklyn, but realistically it does nothing for us. The value was in Lavert and Allen, who were given away, not these late firsts. Trading a generational talent and not netting a single top 10 pick is kind of pathetic. Giving away legitimate players for nothing doesnt make sense either, even if your goal is to be so bad that you get your own top picks, well you chose the wrong player there too as it seems Mobley was the correct pick. They have compounded their errors repeatedly. They will be picking mid to late first with the BKN picks, and what has that really netted us this past off season? We had what, 4 picks in the first round? There is a chance that one of those guys wont even be in the NBA, one guy seems lacking in fundamentals, the other looks ok, and the other doesnt even get playing time.

This years Harden is a lot like second year cp3. They look injured and have games where they flash. Harden can easily extends his career doing CP3 vegan diet and come back just as good. I wouldn't bank on injuries holding him out.

    8th seed coming up soon.

Nets almost HAVE to move Harden if they want to stay in postseason hunt.

Dropping below 8th would be catastrophic.

    LOVING IT.
