14% of Americans are African American

So it stands to reason atleast 14% of HC's should be African American. Strictly by the numbers.

You ever heard of innocent until proven guilty?? Have you heard or seen anything about any kind of evidence? You do know that some massage parlors are fronts for brothels right? You do know that these places are usually recommended by team officials and players right? Why did none of the women call the police and instead called lawyers? Then, why only after his trade request? If you can answer these questions I'll give you props. Good answers though.

Like I said, I know he was still on the internet looking for massages (LOL) after heknew the complaints were goingto be filed against him.

According to those women he liked to have fingers shoved up his azz. Where do you think 22 women could come up with that idea?

You would have to ask Buzbee that question. But you're right I cant wait for this to go to trial. Innocent until proven guilty.

Agreed it's not how it should work. The best person should get the job is how it should work.

How do you think it should work?

Wow, that's extreme. You should probably apologize for that one, friend. That's going way too far... and possibly said out of anger(?)

The point I made was that not all players can be considered coaching material. That should be obvious.

    GOOD DAY

    IT'S A DAY OF REST!

They'll pray on it, and maybe they'll announce tomorrow. Or at least before next Sunday. Maybe not, though. Maybe they'll decide to pursue a Super Bowl assistant.

Methinks Michael Tomlin haveth the skills of both coach and player. Poor example for this rule.

Who has ever said ALL players should be coaching material? Who has ever said 70% of the coaches should be black? In the entirety of the NFL there have been less than 25 full time black head coaches and a few black interim head coaches. 32 seasons since Art Shell became a head coach. Instead of the Rooney Rule, they should introduce the "no Pacman Jones" rule to allow candidates who aren't idiots to be interviewed.

I know it doesn’t matter but the league is 57% black not 70%

A little misleading in that the amount of players saying they are bi-racial is up dramatically. White players only make up 24.9%.

I'll try to steer us back on topic...

So if it's true that Flores turned down the Texans job, then we're down to Gannon and McCown. Gannon likely has identified and presented his own staff, while McCown would likely keep the remaining coaches and fill in the missing areas.

If it's not true, and Flores is still in play, then he likely has his staff lined up as well.

That leads me to believe we should hear something Monday or Tuesday... hopefully!

The delay indicates it’s Flores or McCown to me. No reason not to have announced Gannon by now so either they’re working out something with Flores or trying to time a McCown announcement. But maybe I’m reading too much into it though.

Or it could mean they prefer Flores and Gannon is the backup, and they are still trying to negotiate with Flores. The reports that Flores declined might just mean he declined an initial offer, but is still negotiating.

People that seem to be trusted on the other message boards seem to indicate that Flores was never offered the job and that it's between Gannon and McCown.

Flores wanted to bring his own entire staff of hardasses and the Texans weren't down for it. If you believe the insiders.

I think the delay is because despite what people say, these decisions are not entirely up to Caserio. I think Caserio has to wade through the BS that is Easterby's opinion, and then Janice and Cal's opinion. I also think that these moving parts sometimes align and sometimes don't, and that we're just dysfunctional as a front office from the owner down, in the system they've set up.

That last paragraph is purely my opinion. Kind of reminds me of Schitt's Creek.

This whole "if Flores was offered and refused this negates his case" is ridiculous.

Let's say I apply for a job and I have 5 things I require to take the job. The company comes back and offers me the job, but with one of the things I require.

This was not a good faith offer since they knew what I required during my interview.

If they had offered Flores 75% of what he wanted and he refused the job then it would hurt his case. If they offered him less than that then it was not a good faith offer. It was "look we tried to hire him, but he refused. See his case is BS"
