Thanks so much for reminding me, you jackasses! I'm looking at you too, @B-Bob 0-0-0-22, vs 7-17-14-0 Final 38-22, line was 16.5 or 17, iirc. I didn't bet on or against the Texans after that last year.
With 12 minutes left it's 38-0 and Davis Mills is 14-19 for 104 yards and a pick. Rams bring in the practice squad. Join me again in watching my money evaporate:
I haven't re-read the thread yet, but as I remember all I could do was laugh. eta: Newsflash: Brandin Cooks is better than the Rams' Practice Squad DBs. eta2: Whoever Woods is for the Rams should not be allowed on the "hands team" in the SB. ******* onside kick.
also in that game 23 players from the Texans had covid, including Brandin Cooks, so having a great game without his #1 WR, and 2 players in the OL, (Lane Taylor and Justin McCray) definitely says something about him too. And Justin Hebert couldnt win against texans backups, because most of the Texans starting defense were placed on the Covid: here are the list: The Texans COVID-19 list includes: receiver Brandin Cooks, kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn, linebacker Eric Wilson, the Texans’ only unvaccinated player, per coach David Culley, Johnson, Johnson Jr., Murray, Lopez, Greenard, Martin, Rivers and Collins, linebackers Kamu Grugier-Hill, Christian Kirksey and Tae Davis, offensive guards Lane Taylor and Justin McCray, safeties A.J. Moore and Terrence Brooks, cornerback Terrance Mitchell along with practice squad cornerback Cre’Von LeBlanc. and I think 2 or 3 players got covid after this list too.
For sure, but I like Davis Mills, it wasn’t a shot at him. Feel sorry that his development is going to be stunted by another bridge coach. Un-****ing-believable.
I don't think we can use the new coach as a excuse for regression bc his QB coach will be his oc. Doubt lovie will do much on that side of the wall
They need to give him a line. Tunsil, if not traded, will help. Need to also give him a good rb. I don't even think you have to draft one, there are enough in free agency that will do the trick.
I've been beating the table for James Conner for years. Since he was in college. He'd be perfect here. Only problem is you need a second dependable back with his injury history. I'd sign Conner and draft a running back in the second or third, hopefully with a pick from a Watson trade.
ehh, I think you need to draft one. No sense in wasting cap dollars when you can get 4 years of a rookie deal on a younger, more talented back. A 2nd round running back is basically a first round pick at this point. We've neglected this position for years. Time to spend a 2nd rounder imo.
Okay I can get behind the idea of both a FA and a 2nd rounder. I'm not in love with Conner specifically though
Lovie is growing on me, but it's still an uninspiring hire and we will need a new coach in a few years regardless. Unless you're bringing in Andy Reid I don't really see the point of going old with a new HC hire.
Also talking to bears fans, things that lovie did bad were things like clock management and we won't see those issues yet
My guy is Marlon Mack or Jeff Wilson. You could probably could sign both of these guys for what it will cost to sign Conner.
I'm thinking the 2ndrd pick needs to be spent on a OL. Jeff Wilson and Mack you can get for the vet min for 2-3 yrs. I do want to draft a RB like Kevin Harris/ Ty Chandler or Keontay Ingram in the 5th/6th rd range to add to the FA's. A RB room with Mack/Wilson/Burkhead/Ingram would be much improved.
