true but he might be worth the gamble for a team like the mavs. they always struggle to get quality free agents even though its a great city to live in and big market. also they need to get more talent around luka to keep him. kyrie's offensive game is just amazing. he is so sharp/precise with his movements. the type of drama he creates is different from some spoiled, entitled, diva athletes. its more manageable. kyrie wouldn't be a problem at all in BK if he would just play. so he needs to be somewhere he can without sacrificing his beliefs no matter how silly they are.
Nor should they. That kid has all star potential. I think it’ll be a Thybulle, Simmons and maybe curry coupled with a couple of first rounders.
the whole narrative is dumb and manufactured by media and you idiots run with it. he has an injury that clearly has bothered him all year. why would james "quit"on this team ? if anyone quit on the team its, kyrie. then the post above states concern this could torpedo the nets chances of winning a title ? wtf ??? did everyone forget kyrie doesn't care enough to play full time ? bizarro world. james is getting all the blame when he's been the only one of the three to suit up the majority of the games.
I'm definitely not saying that Harden is 100% bought in as evident by his terrible defensive effort in the Kings game, I'm just saying if its an aberration/injury or IF Harden hasn't made it clear he wants to leave, I doubt the Nets trade him. But if the reports about his unhappiness etc are true, then that's a different story, since a checked out Harden could crater their title chances this season.
no, him quitting on the nets. the rockets is what it is. the owner is cheap the team was getting further away from a championship. he did what he needed to do at this age. but all this for the nets is bullshit. media created 100%
what is there to forgive ? he has been dealing with this hamstring all year and hasn't looked like himself because of it. now he plays in a back to back in a tough game against the suns and now he has "quit" even though he is missing at least the next couple games due to said hamstring. media looking for clicks like always. also james is an easy target.
If you can't play just don't play, but when you are on the court, you need to put in the effort, that's basic for any job. God this reminds me of Tmac's final days in Houston. "I'm not 100% I'm not 100%" then just watch his team play 4 on 5.
This. That tweet that highlighted 9 or 10 plays of Harden's lack of effort on defense in the Kings game was atrocious. If he is that injured to the point he can't be bothered to try on defense, he should sit. It makes zero sense to play in a regular season game if you literally cant try on one end of the court due to injury or fatigue. If it's from being frustrated with Kyrie or the KD injuries, then request a trade or do something to help the situation (like playing with effort on defense, being a better leader, teammate).
uhhhhhhhh and thats why he didnt play tonight and will probably miss the next game just say you hate james and keep it movin
Exactly I don't believe Tillman and Stone will be able to build a real contender, most likely case is they build a competitive team that peaks in the second round. They will tank 4-6 years, have one player that ends up being very good and keeps them in mediocrity for some time. They will need an outright culture shift to be able to win it all. As it stands the front office and ownership do not seem to be on the same page, but they respect the owner and are thankful for a job, so they do as they are told. The only other possibility is if you luck into a generational talent like Lebron , Giannis, maybe Luka?, that be can good enough to either deal with mediocre pieces or good enough to attract premier FAs to play w them. It will involve some luck, a franchise gets a player like that maybe once every 20 years.
