Yea I know I know man, I still have a lot of hope for Green. But we're just talking here and if we do that draft over again.....none of us take Green at number 2. But this as of right now....as you said, hopefully he'll make me eat my words in the upcoming years.
One thing I'm not hoping for out of any of these guys is for them to be legendary, hall of famers, etc. by the time they're done. You can't possibly expect every player you draft to even be an all-star. With that said, in the back of my mind, I thought I saw a lot of potential last year in KPJ, but he seemed to really regress this season. I'm not even talking about "his jumper's off" or "he's turning the ball over", but more like "this dude can't even drive and make a layup all of a sudden". I don't expect KPJ to be Chris Paul, but I just want him to take care of the ball and be a threat offensively and solid on defense. I think part of the problem may have been he had too much responsibility to run the offense and score or something. Something either slowed down for him or they just told him to go out there and play instead of worried about where to be and what to do. He's playing better now, but I'm still torn on him being a "real" PG. But he may be "good enough" for now. With Christopher, I was watching him early in the season and it was more like "do you even see anybody else on the court or are you just trying to go 100mph all the time?" With KPJ, it was more like "what happened since last season - are we sure this guy can be a PG?" lol. I think as the season goes on, you can see all of them starting to grow a bit. The question, of course is, where does that plateau and become "welp... this is about all we're going to get out of him". Considering they're all so young, we may not know for another 2 or 3 years.
Getting a late first from a playoff team for Gordon would give the Rockets a chance to land another Josh Christopher-like gem.
I get why wood has people on both sides. He can go on elite stretches offensively and rebounding, but he has some what in the world stretches too.
Jalen Green needs to be more aggressive. you can take all the shots now. JC should have been inserted into the starting lineup if KPJ is injured.
I would like a mariachi band following me around. Whenever I do something successful, they sing a tune.
