The first one didn’t happen. Roosh isn’t really that good at tweeting sense. He’s a take maker, is all.
Has a bit of Ryan Anderson in the playoffs syndrome. PFFFFFT. folks are crazy saying green can make ROY , but analyzing a 19 year old rookie playing not half a season yet to have ryan anderson in the playoff syndrome. Rockets needs to hire sport analyst like u if you can see that far ahead with such small sample size
I agree. But that's on the coach. Wood loves to slip because he wants the ball back immediately to take advantage of space with his length and momentum. Its selfish but he is an efficient finisher.
The irony is that he and everyone else would get better looks if he increased the frequency of setting actual picks. It'd also make his slips more effective because he'd be less predictable. If defenders spent any time watching tape they'd know exactly what Wood's going to do because he slips almost every time. Predictability is not a good look for any player.
Slipping the screen often is also just a convenient way to be lazy while insisting you were in a better position. Wood is just not mentally in it for the team. He’s aware as much as we are that he’s being showcased. He knows the key to getting mentioned on tv is to get into highlights or lowlights or be in a big market. So he’s doing whatever to make it into highlights. A player has to play defense for half a decade to get mentioned for it on espn. It is what it is. I find it highly unlikely he’s on this team post deadline. Let’s get the best picks possible and a temp vet PF who would fit next to Sengun. Thaddeus Young is available and highly underrated according to Bulls and spurs fans, though I wish he could stretch the floor a bit more. Apparently surprisingly good at functioning as a C sometimes. Covington would be good too, expiring contract, good 3&d team player. Any of these teams willing to give up a pick would be great.
Now Thad Young DEFINITELY does NOT fit rebuild timeline. He's 33 and his best years are behind him. Spurs have played him sparingly and last night gave him 24 mins, twice as much as he's played in last 5 games, and he was awful. Was a -18 on the court. How many of these net negative players does CF want????
You're just looking through a different filter than most here and the organization. We just need someone to play PF for a year, will find someone better later or in the summer. They just have to fit with Sengun reasonably well and bring some experience for the rest of this season. You're trying to increase wins, so you're going to find yourself in conflict with everything the organization does in most cases.
You are also running a filter here, and way too optimistic about the FO.....I would think they only get 50% done of what they intended to. I have also come down to earth with Sengün.
Really doesn't matter, the point is he's going to wake up every morning in conflict with Rockets news if he keeps measuring the news vs a metric he cares about and they don't. It's rarely going to intersect, why set yourself up like that.
The metric is in constant flux. The human condition is a paradox one lol, no need to explain tbh. I do agree while losing, you should actually try to win 35 games next year. You need to gain respect quickly.
I think the difference is Cade and Mobley has bot settled into very pivotal roles on the team, One being the main ball handler/play maker, and the other anchors the defense. They have been way more consistent at their defined roles. Green still seems like just an athlete right now, we don't really know what he's good at, he just has flashes of scoring here and there, but it's not consistent.
Yeah I agree and i have argued that he doesn’t fully understand his role and he is in a difficult situation playing behind those two one being the primary ball handler and playmaker in KPJ. That’s why I don’t thinK KPJ is a good fit. I mean I don’t think he’s a starter in this league anyway but by taking away situations Green would otherwise be in in terms of playmaking using screens and getting the ball at certain spots on the floor, it’s hindering his growth and this is why we haven’t seen him as successful or prominent. I just think he needs to be free from KPJ with a steady tough defensive minded pg that doesn’t need to do too much, can score on his own but can defer to green.
This isn't really a legitimate argument when our own team (and coaching staff) seems to be undecided or confused about his role on the team currently.
Personnel issues. I agree to a certain extent but coaching staff’s hands may be tied when KPJ is in a rookie extension year and management probably wants to evaluate him and the team has made a point to play him at the 1. Green to me is just in a difficult situation to truly blossom and evolve. Not blaming anyone for his poor shooting stretches but his role has been limited and he has struggled to fit in with the personnel around him. It would be tough for any rookie to come into a situation with two vets and established 1 and two scoring options and playmakers on the team. He hasn’t found his identity yet. But when he does look out!
I think it is, Cade and Mobley has proven their abilities in their roles, they earned it so to speak. Jalen was given plenty of chances to be whatever he wanted, but he was very inconsistent in most things he was suppose to be good at. He will need to prove on a consistent basis that he can be a scoring punch. Right now he cannot be relied upon to do one thing really well. I know next game Mobley will be able to guard 1-5, and contest tons of shots, grab 8-10 rebounds and get a couple of lobs/ put backs. I know Cade would be able to guard any opponents guards, dish out good assists, organize the offense, grab a bunch of rebounds. I don't know if Green will got 0-8 from the 3 point line or 4-8. I don't know whether he will draw 8 free throws or get blocked every time at the rim. I don't know if he will get torched on defense or not. Mobley and Cade have their own flaws they need to fix, but they have established well the things they can for sure do on the court to help the team win. Can Green go off for 30 points tomorrow? yes he has shown that, but he can also be got 3-18 from the field with bad defense.
