i wish alpi would go to g league for a few weeks and get some full games under his belt get into his flow and rhythm and unstuck himself...
life goes by fast and this is how careers are being ruined, day by day, month by month year by year...he already spent half of his best year (hes never gonna be 19 again brah) warming the bench to lesser players and not playing... HUGE FACEPALM so what growth we are speaking here? last night he had trouble posting players up something hes born with... not having a stamina is also a weak argument 1000 times refuted by now not sure why i have to explain it again but alpi occasionally has played 25 and 28 minutes games starting from summer league and also in october november and december and did just fine actually these were his almost most productive games also imagine if he gets injured next year and lose another year? what then? or the league gets canceled by corona or something... this is how careers are ruined and derailed, thats why you get the best of today and the best is not sitting on the BENCH of THE WORST TEAM IN NBA alpi deserves best of nba experience and starting NOW...hes being humiliated and given crumbs by silas and rockets this never gonna end good... this is also why rockets didnt win with harden... you do shitty job then later you whine we didnt have talent, of the refs screwed us...no you screwed it...and now you need to tank because you dont know how to draft and develop and it still wont be enough...theres no substitute for bb IQ
Team is losing and all but I just love the camaraderie between the rooks and vets. EGo has been a great mentor to all of them.
I was thinking the same thing last night. Way more benefits than just getting his groove back as well. He worsk on his conditioning, find his rhythm as you mentioned and learn the nuances of how the game is called in USA vs Turkey to avoid fouls. I think the biggest take away from it would be for the RGV team to experiment with the entire offense based on Al P. The Rockets were one of the first teams, if not the first to really abandon post up plays in the modern NBA. The paint is where Senguin shines the brightest, so I would run the offense through him nearly every play, similar to the 93 Rockets and Dream. I read an article that before Senguin was MVP in Turkey, he was ineffective because he was being used improperly by his coach(sound familiar). The Vipers could structure their entire offense based on inside/outside. The guy is already drawing doubles in the NBA, so this would allow Senguin to kick out for high percentage 3. The G-league has been used to improve the players, but could be utilized to improve the coach and FO. A few weeks of Senguin putting up 30/15 every night could do wonders for him, but it could show Silas how to effectively exploit the post, instead of all 3's and layups.
Sengun's personality is the absolute best. He's quirky but charismatic as hell, and super competitive. I can't wait til he gets fully comfortable and really starts to put it together, it's going to be so entertaining.
29 minutes? my goodness 1 session with Hakeem and his stamina suddenly tru the roof.... Hakeem should be a conditioning coach and forget all about teaching the fancy moves....
