    Wait what?

that’s literally the only thing I have been pushing back against the last couple of pages, that he won’t be a superstar, and everyone coming at me as if that’s some blasphemous thing to say. Stop projecting this sht about being right or wrong onto me, I could give too craps about being right for the hundredth time. I think you guys care a whole lot about me being wrong than I ever cared about being right.

My issue from before the draft was at that height and that frame, he will never be an impact defender. If that’s the case he needs to be elite on offense, I think he can be efficient on offense, but without the natural playmaking feel for the game he will never be able to run an offense, be the centerpiece, so never truly elite. Which caps his upside, to something definitely below superstar, or anything worthy of the #2 pick.

No you state as a matter of fact there there is a zero percent chance he will be a superstar. It's the mattrr of factness that people have issues with.

I’d more easily believe you if you didn’t do trollish things like claim Green is 6’3.

Correct. It’s crazy that people have issues with this. There is also zero chance Sengun will be a superstar and everyone knows how high I am on him. High level allstar perhaps, but superstar is top 5-10 in the league, all time great level players.

Well that's the thing, the organization hasn't been proven wrong yet.

You've backed yourself into a corner by making definitive statements about him with that 0% chance thing you've said so now he HAS to be bad or else you'll be eating crow for the rest of his career. So now we're seeing this play out where you're very defensive and excited when the guy fails so that you can be right.

Did you see the pic with Jalen next to Trae Young or no? How about next to the 6’4 Kevin Porter jr, who himself says he is taller than Green.

Eating crow for the rest of his career, when he turns into a SUPERSTAR. One of the top players in the entire league. Of all time. On my favorite team. Man, the pain I will be in if one of those was on my team again!

You’re a troll. Sorry. Anyone with eyes can see that Green is not 6’3. He simply does not look short on the court. Small, yes. Short, no. Crap like this is why no one takes you seriously.

Why do you think there is a 0 chance of Sengun being a superstar?

I think your issue here is how different a 19 year old NBA player is to a 25 year old version of that same player. Again, would you personally have concluded that Giannis would be a superstar level scorer at the end of his rookie year?

Like at the end of Giannis' rookie year would you say something along the lines of "there is no chance Giannis would be a top 5 scorer in this league"?

    If Ja is 6’1/6’2
Green is probably 6’4, his listed height. I don’t care how tall he is personally, I care more about length. Hoping he grows a bit more

I have a 1000% better chance believing Morant is closer to 6’1 than Green is 6’6. And fyi, Morant is not a good defender, which doesn’t matter as much because he is a good playmaker that the team can run the entire offense through, and he’s still not a superstar.

Even if Ja's only 6'2. Jalen is a lot more than 2 inches taller than him. Look at the difference in the position of their chins and shoulders.

6’3.5-6’4, yes. And that’s exactly the claim I made during the draft, NOT 6’6 which was what he got drafted on.

the future is… uncertain. Probabilistic distributions don’t cut down to zero, there are tails usually. It’s a very perilous take to say "0% chance".
However, I was heavy flamed here for saying that Darko-bust outcome is not 0%. I think it’s very, very low, but is not 0%.
The Greenies are again being widely inconsistent.
Saying 0% for a "superstar" outcome is a message board crime, but for a "nasty bust" outcome is perfectly OK?

Sengun, mostly due to his size. That was another point of contention prior to the draft with some saying he’s as low as 6’8. He looks to be about 6’9.5-6’10 to me, which is fine for me and can become a very good allstar with his skill set. But superstar, we are talking about one of the best, I think he’s too small for his speed/athleticism limitations.

Giannis, no I would not have projected him to be a superstar, no one would. But I wouldn’t have said there’s zero chance. The question wasn’t who could be a superstar, based on their lack of limitations. It was who couldn’t be a superstar, based on their limitations. There’s a distinction.

Well maybe my read on it is wrong, I can't speak for everyone. I imagine if you put up a poll that said "Has Jalen been disappointing compared to your pre-season expectations" it would be overwhelmingly "yes", like, over 95% and close to 100%. The "no" votes would probably come from the guys who like to pound their chest about "I always knew he would be this bad", rather than the supposed cult members. I think the disconnect is, if you had a follow up question "What are the chances he becomes a superstar one day" and the options were "0%" or "more than 0%", you'd probably have 95%+ voting for "more than 0%". Even if that's 1%. Even if it's 0.1%, I just think it's wrong to write off a rookie his age after 35 games.

Did you give up on Marcus Morris as easily as Jalen or Al-P? It's a serious question. I just don't remember at what point you abandoned the Marcus Morris franchise superstar train? Because if you held him to your current standard, then surely you recognized 20 games in that he was just a guy.

Here we go again. There's 2 measurements the NBA does, with shoes and without shoes. Here is Josh Christopher's measurements officially at the combine

    Barefoot- 6'3.25''
    With Shoes - 6'4.5''

Here's Josh standing next to Green.

By conservative estimation Green is at least 1 inch taller than Christopher. And depending on what shoes he's wearing he would be 6'5 1/2 to 3/4 (with shoes).

I have never seen any legit source that claims Green was 6'6. I think he's probably barefoot 6'4 1/2 which is basically the exact same height as Kobe. And no it doesn't even make a difference.
