Teams have asked about Tate and the Rockets have discussed him but the Rockets GM lives in a fantasy land about the value of his own players on a team that is in the bottom 3-4 of the league record wise.
Every time I see these videos of him quite easily draining 3's I get more convinced that his issues are more confidence based than ability based on the shooting front. I actually thought with his personality that confidence wouldn't be an issue but it is what it is I guess.
I'm not at all mad if we don't trade Tate tbh. Good glue guy type, and he's still only in his second NBA season, not out of the question that he improves even though he'll never be an All-star.
Well if that's the case, we definitely know what he is asking for since Clutchfans lives in that same fantasy land.
I don't mind the Rockets being high on Tate. I think we need to sell Gordon by the deadline as he may not be anymore valuable than he is now. Cap relief (rubio) + CLE SRP (our pick) isn't the worst offer ever but I'd pull he trigger on that if that's the best. Feels like that is the minimum.
I’d really hope to extract a future #1 for Gordon. If the Rockets take on a non expiring contract they should be able to do that.

I'm hoping we get a #1. If we don't, well, then... I don't know. It would suck. He's the one I don't want to keep holding onto because his 3 point shooting is going to go down and you just know he's going to get injured. I swear, it's like a ticking time-bomb to me with him... lol. Wood is like "whatever". At least the guy puts up numbers. People say they're stat-padding numbers, but on a team this bad, it's always garbage time and he does put up solid numbers throughout the game for the most part. His defense pretty much sucks, but if you want his offense, his rebounds AND add defense to that, you're looking at a guy you probably don't want to trade or one that fetches ridiculous money. You'd be looking at a top-10 or top-15 player in the NBA. Get realistic people. Every negative a player has gets magnified around here into "we gotta trade him". That being said, I hope we get a lot for him. Based upon what I'm hearing in here about what the Rockets may really expect with Wood, it does have me worried, though. In all honesty, none of us really know what's being talked behind the scenes, what's being asked or offered, and in most discussions, you probably throw crazy stuff out there just to see how much of a bite you get, then whittle your way to a happy medium and hopefully a trade. "I know I asked for 3 first rounders and your wife, but since we're about to hit the deadline, ok ... how about a second rounder top 40-protected?"
I agree with you. On Gordon he will help the Rockets win meaningless games and cost us draft positioning if we keep him. So I hope we trade him and at worst clear his contract off the ledger for next year. Wood is a good player but he isn’t motivated on this bad a team. He scores, can shoot and rebound and in some situations defend well. The issue is he isn’t helping at all on defense and his attitude has supposedly been pretty bad. No one knows what the final offers for any of the Rockets will be, because the teams interested don’t know what they will do the 12th hour either.
In a package or by himself? And what's the return goal, just saying FRP means nothing. There is a big difference and value swing between top of draft to bottom of the draft.
