    Kobe

    14.4 per, 0.78 ws/48, -0.1 bpm

as a 17 year old. Man is going to roll over in his grave if anyone ever compares Green to him again, stop embarrassing yourself

    tmac

    17.4 per, 0.081 ws/48, +0.6 bpm

Tmac put up terrific rookie numbers as an 18 year old and you could really tell the potential. The mistake you guys are making is looking at raw per game numbers when these guys were actually playing well but just didn’t get the same minutes and opportunity as someone who doesn’t deserve it like Green.

Well obviously these people aren’t scouts but I doubt that they ever played the game. Even If you never played at least try to be more educated and observant.

2 years in college, coming off the bench and surrounded by two superstars and a playoff team. Jalen will be fine. I’m not sure if he’s going to be a superstar, but I am not writing that off after 36 games, his numbers could look different by the end of the season. Be patient with his progress. He’s got an incredible work ethic

Remind me, what is Sengun’s per, ws, and whatever else on a team as horrific as the Rockets team that he’s on. Or better yet, Josh Christopher, better or worse than the #2 pick?

Ironic, because the one making the mistake is you. You can't extrapolate Rookie numbers with small minutes and usage and act like they don't get worse the more usage they get.

As @Reeko pointed out, someone like Butler getting touches on a team as terrible as the Rockets would have put his numbers in the dirt.

I don’t get all the criticism. He didn’t play terrible against Golden State. He was aggressive the whole game and got to the line but yet still received a lot of hatred from some of these people. Cunningham had a recent stretch of good games but he has looked far worse than Green in several games including a couple very recent ones but yet somehow our fans didn’t catch that.

definitely not great, and no signs of a superstar, yet these numbers are still FAR better than Green’s. And Giannis took one of the greatest leaps both in his game and his body (literally growing several inches). You guys really don’t appreciate how bad a -0.05 ws or -5 bpm is. Like, a -2.5 is a bottom of the rotation level player, like a Danuel House. -5 is worst in the league and unplayable level, like a Jarrett Culver.

irrelevant…we know how Jimmy Butler and Dirk were as rookies, they were horrific

tell rookie year Butler to go to a bad Houston team and start creating his own shot, and it will be a nightmare…The evidence that rookie year Dirk would’ve been so much better on this bad Rockets team as opposed to his bad Mavs team is what exactly?

I realize one good game doesn't make up for an underwhelming rookie season, but can it least buy us one night of Rockets fans not b****ing about Green's stats? Apparently not.

You say you can't be that terrible and then become a superstar.

Then you just compare similar enough numbers of superstars and shift the post to say greens are somehow waaay worse when they arent.

not close, and I wouldn’t call Booker anything close to a superstar either which was the contention

Giannis was not terrible, he just wasn’t great. I said you can’t be as bad as green is now and be a superstar, and Giannis wasn’t even close

    Didnt say that.

Said they usually talk out of their ass because they are unprepared.

    There's a difference.

Lol at predicting someone won't become a super star. There's been like 5 super stars in the past decade. What kind of **** pointless prediction is that.

He's averaged the 2nd most MPG on Rockets. He's been allowed to play, that's not the problem.

The problem isequal parts the system he plays in and Jalen himself (shooting form, confidence, strength, lack of a bag, defensive IQ).

Why would we tell rookie Butler to create his own shot when we don’t do that to Green? He stands in the corner most times and gets tons of open looks, not because of our great offense but because defenses leave him open. If we actually ran the offense through Green (as many fans clamoring for, where have you been?), he would be turning the ball over or getting blocked…even more so than already. And who said Dirk would be better here, he can stay the same and it’s already far better than Green.
