No other team has a rookie drafted this high playing this bad. To think that Houston uniquely has fans that are biased against their own players, when we cheer for all the other rookies on the team playing up to par, is disrespectful to the game and city.

Green now has more assists than TOs for the season :)

over last 9 games he has a 2-1 Ast/to ratio

It's also a very disingenious question to ask since players coming into the league at barely 19 hasn't happened all that often. And if it happened, they were not given that many minutes most of the time.

Otherwise, there'd be a guy named James Harden to name as an answer to this question. He hasn't exactly looked special in his rookie season and he was also a year older, on a much better team. Also Kobe Bryant is comparable but again, he didn't get as many minutes to screw up in his rookie year.

Yeah his quickness and ability to get to the hoop is special. These critics and cynics don’t understand the magnitude of this. We haven’t seen him fully unleash yet and I still contend that KPJ is holding him back. The best is yet to come.

You can save your comments. I meant what i said.

It's obvious guys like you and BTG would rather be "right" about Green than seeing him become a superstar. If you say otherwise you're once again just talking ****.

The lame old "I'd be happy if he ever becomes a good player".

I'd say you're better than that, but you really aren't´.

    Dirk

    12.8 per, 0.04 winshare/48, -2.5 bpm

definitely not great numbers coming over as an euro

    Jimmy Butler

    12.5 per, 0.144 winshare/48, -1.3 bpm

Butler didn’t really play as a rookie, but the ws/48 showed his potential

    Jalen Green

    8.6 per, -0.049 winshare/48, -5.8 bpm

I’m not sure you people understand how bad it is to have a sub 10 per and negative winshare. When we say one of the worst players in the entire league, we mean you literally can’t find many numbers worse than this. If Dirk or Butler got the same amount of minutes and opportunity as Green they would have put up far better raw numbers.

guys make huge leaps all the time, but for some reason, it’s time to panic with Jalen Green

Paul George’s offensive game was very weak his 1st 2 years…3rd year he’s going toe to toe with Bron creating shots off the dribble

T-Mac was just a dunker his 1st 2 years in the league

talk to me if Jalen Green has shown little to no improvement in year 2 and is still pure trash in year 3

I’ve been saying it for a while. Green needs to have the ball in his hands. He needs to be put in situations where is creating and playmaking instead of feeding off KPJ and dump offs by Wood. I contend he needs a pg who doesn’t need to do too much. I like his pairing with Nix and wonder where that can go. The KPJ experiment is unbearable to watch.

The crazy thing is he's not even hit his peak athleticism yet, when he grows into his body it'll get better. This is his starting point and people are downplaying it? Insanity. If you start with this much speed, quickness, agility and bounce before you've even really developed your muscles then when you do that's not just "good athleticism," it's ELITE level athleticism. His ability to create space, his drive to improve (look at the difference in his defense from the opener to now, how quick he's modifying his shot, his passing, his rebounding) and his ability to get to the line... This is the starting point. All these idiots declaring bust and trying to act like they know more than all time great players are going to look so so stupid.

    James Harden

    14 per, 0.124 ws/48, +0.5 bpm

please don’t make me laugh, Harden was better in every way and actually had a positive bpm as a rookie guard which is special.

I'm happy for his cult members that he finally had a good game..... but if we're real, Sengun was the real hero.

if Jimmy Butler was on a team as horrific as the Rockets getting a ton of minutes and shots, u could go ahead and bump that PER, WS, and whatever else way down…he had little to no offensive skills

Dirk would average better basic box score stats while still having the same trash efficiency and defense

We’re gonna act like rookie Dirk would be ballin on these Rockets? No
