Sure, KPJ has been pretty bad most of the year too....but he doesn't have a weird religious following, so it's okay to admit his struggles.

Every Rockets player being below average to putrid defensively hurts my heart.

That even includes Tate and Jaygup.

Surprisingly, Wood is higher than almost every Rocket even though he's constantly shat on.

Even Sengun is higher rated defensively than CF realizes.

And speaking of the best Rookie defenders.

Herb Jones was one of my late FRP dark horses.

    *sigh*

LOL - he is going to be a beast, I was watching him and thinking of how much he reminded me of Ralph Sampson.

    LOL

Lots of posters owe him an apology. KPJ was ridiculous from deep tonight.

Kid is playing with tons of confidence, it is contagious.

@D-rock, what's your best guess as to how Mobley's development would be looking right about now if we'd picked him? Would he be looking as good?

    Absolutely.

    Mobley is a natural connector.

He does not need plays run for him but good things happen on offense and defense because of his high IQ.

I actually thought Mobley had an inefficient game tonight because he looked tired. Rockets ran the Cavs hard the first half and the Cavs were not expecting it.

But at end of 4th before Wood went super saiyan, it looked like Mobley, Love and JA were about to muscle their way to a win.

The fact that the 3 bigs for Cavs were controlling the comeback was not a surprise but they are hard to stop when they force their half court inside-outside game on teams.

Mobley plays the Tate role for the Cavs, the garbage man who is 3rd or 4th option.

Imagine a 7 foot Tate who doesn't get burned when switched onto legit NBA centers. That's Mobley.

And he's never in danger of fouling out. Elite defense without fouling out is CRAZY.

Mobley would have been Rockets 2nd option and averaged more than the 15/8 he does for the Cavs.

Not entirely sold on Kpj’s style of play, but wanted to point out, he’s shooting 42.5% from 3 the last 15 games on nearly 6 attempts per game. The efficiency is headed up.

Again those kids need to make the Play In next year or the year after.

Next step is to be more competitive in a Playoff setting.
